Bankwest Transaction account - Earn 10,000 bonus Qantas Points

I did two lots of 10 transactions this month: one at the start of the month, and once after the Qantas points posted, just in case.

Will do 10 transactions early in November to see whether the points post.

Silly question - when using this to withdraw money overseas, do you hit cheque savings or credit?

Credit, so that it gets routed through Mastercard.

(Also, I've now done my third batch of 10 transactions. No sign of the points yet, although the transactions did only post yesterday.)

I couldn't get a clear answer so am ensuring 10 transactions before month end and then will do subsequent months in last week's of Nov and Dec to hedge bets (as this means falls within both calendar month and months since account was opened on 16th Oct).

Also since points earn is just 3 points per transaction (not per $ spent) it is best to use on 10 small transactions as credit cards will yield better points earn on anything over $5.
When my account was opened I was advised I needed to make the 10 transactions by the 21st of each month. More recently I've been told it's based on calendar months.

I guess I'll just make sure they are all between the 1st and 21st.
I'm just making sure I do both so I'm covered
I got told it was based on when I opened my account, very confusing!
Yes very confusing. T&Cs just state "per month". I haven't found any definition of what they consider a month to be.
I asked this question two months go, also calling and could not get a definitive answer.
Does anyone know with the new promotion whether the 15 transactions are within a calendar month or from when you create your account?

TIA
You need to do 10 transactions each month for three months. Easiest solution is to go to Coles, buy something and do 10 split payments at the checkout. The wording re the transactions is "For the first 3 months from the date of Account opening, customers must complete a minimum of 10 eligible transactions per month using a Bankwest Debit Mastercard."
I don't wish the bonus points to drop until November (Qantas Points Club).

With this "first 3 months from the date of Account opening" it seems that would mean to qualify an account opened 20th September would have until 19th October for first 10 then 19th November for next 10 and then 19th December for the remaining 10 transactions.

Does anyone read this differently?
Anyway, my account was opened 20th Sep. I did the 10 transactions after the card was activated (25th) and before the end of that month.

Last month I did similar with the 10 October transactions all after the 25th. I'll do the same for November.

That should qualify both ways; i.e. Calendar month and by date.

I didn't bother reading the Terms closely so I just set up BPAY scheduled payments to hit the minimum. Was wondering why I didn't get the 10k bonus, turns out BPAY is excluded. Oh well... Too much work for 10k, personally 🤷

Well I haven't received the bonus either, although they indicated it was to be applied with 60 days.

I suspect it is calendar month, as I opened account on 16th Oct, did my deposits and did first 10-12 transactions before 31st and the monthly points (not the 10k bonus) landed early Nov.

For me best case bonus points drop Jan, but could be as late as March.

Will keep just buying 10 coffees (or other small purchases) a month between 16th and 31st until end of Dec.

I've received my first statement at three months from the opening date. I've worked out that the $6 fee works on calendar months: made my first deposit on 2/10, 2nd deposit on 30/10 and 3rd on 7/12 and was charged a "maintenance fee" of $6 on 1/12. (All 3 deposits were within separate 30 periods if based on the opening date of the account.)

Also noticed that some purchases initially show up as "authorisation only". I made 2 purchases on the last day of the statement period and they don't show on the statement. It will be interesting to see if they post to the next statement dated a day or two later than the actual pruchase date and, if so, whether they will count in the three month period for this promotion.

The purchases made on the last day of the statement period are now showing on my account but are dated the day after they were made. Looks like I'm going to have to argue with them to get my bonus points.

let me know how you go with it

I made 10-12 transactions in Oct, Nov and Dec and the minimum deposit each of those months, am hopeful of seeing the 10k before end of January.

If you have satisfied all the eligibility criteria, 10,000 bonus Qantas Points will be credited to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Account linked to the Bankwest Qantas Transaction Account within 60 days of you meeting the eligibility criteria. The 10,000 bonus Qantas Points promotion is subject to change, promotion ends 30 November 2023.
The clock is ticking; I met the criteria on Nov 30th. ...

Mine was the 30th December and I was hoping to have mine by the end of January to get me into PC - if not I guess I'll have to buy some points (wine I meant buy wine)
