Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I'm trying to officially find out the rule of how many transactions per day are allowed (nothing found yet...), BUT Idid find this piece of info:

Bankwest Online Banking Help

[h=3]Pay AnyBody[/h]Save yourself the envelope and stamp. A Pay AnyBody payment can be used to transfer money from your account to any transactional account at any bank or financial institution in Australia.

When making payments to a new recipient or above a certain amount you will be prompted to enter an SMS code so make sure you have your mobile handy. If you’re not registered for SMS code then you’ll be prompted to answer two of your secret questions instead.

NOTE: Payments cannot be made to another bank's credit card. Transfers like this can be processed via BPAY as long as that institution provides a Biller Code on your statement.

NOTE: If you need to make Pay AnyBody transfers to another Bankwest account, this will generally be processed within the hour (even on weekends and public holidays). Payments being sent to non Bankwest accounts are processed at 3:00pm AWST and if your transfer is made after 3:00pm AWST, on the weekend or on a national public holiday, we will process it for you the next business day. Please note it can take up to 3 days for other banks to process the transfer.
TIP:You can pay up to 500 recipients at a time using Pay AnyBody within Bankwest Online Banking and each payment will show as a single debit on your eStatement.
If you're creating future-dated or recurring Pay AnyBody transfers you will need to ensure there is sufficient funds in your account on the day that the transfers are due to be processed.

[h=3]BPAY[/h]Do you often find yourself wishing there were more hours in the day? We aren't magicians to make this happen, but our BPAY solution can help you find some extra time during the day. BPAY allows you to pay your bills via online banking so you won't have to waste your time lining up in queues at the post office.
When making payments using BPAY it is important to know the payment processing and cut-off times.
When making payments to a new recipient or above a certain dollar amount you will be prompted to enter an SMS code so make sure you have your mobile handy. If you’re not registered for SMS code then you’ll be prompted to answer two of your secret questions instead.

You can pay up to 50 billers at a time using BPAY within Bankwest Online Banking and each BPAY payment will show as a single debit on your statement/eStatements.

If you're creating future-dated or recurring BPAY payments, you will need to ensure there are sufficient funds on your account on the day that the transfers are due to be processed.
NOTE: Some BPAY billers do not allow payments from credit card accounts.

My main question: the may some of us have started to pay our Optus or Telstra bills, would the way we pay it be classed as bpay? As I never needed an actual bpay code.

I haven't been paying my Optus bill via BPay, I've been paying it via the Optus Payment Page https://secure.optus.com.au/paymybill/, this is counted as a "Credit Card" payment and uses a different facility to BPay and Pay Anyone; looking forward to the points coming through next month :)

Just received my latest statement (number 2, changed to monthly), the statement period is from June 12th - 11th July.

Qantas transactions earned: 325 points
Qantas balances earned: 28 points

My question/annoy: Are the above points earned backdated from the previous month? (ie: all things done between June 1st / 30th) My current statement is 5 pages, which shows 101 actual transactions, then there was a tiny deposit(s) of $1000.00 for a max of 2 days (ie: taken out the next day, x2).

Today's statement means I've done 65 transactions (325 Points / 5 = 325), which I will need to dig out the last statement (which is 3 months worth!).

Am I going insane, in regards to not receiving the actual points I've earnt, or are they doing everything correct?

Have you checked the page on Eligible transactions, BPay and Pay Anybody aren't included.

I have a feeling the statement points aren't correct, my statement (15 Jun>14 Jul) says:
Qantas Points earned on balances: 115
Qantas Points earned on transactions: 0
Qantas Points adjusted: 90
Total points credited: 205.

By my count, not including Optus Payments, I've done 34 (eligible) transactions, guess I'll just have to wait for the points to credit to QFF statement next month to see if they match up; points were last credited to my account on 7 July at 167 points.

I'm going to do the $2000 shuffle for a fourth month just to make sure I don't miss out.

The points show up on weird statements. Because BankWest annoyingly defaults to weekly statements only 1 in every 4 of mine show points (sometimes 1 in 5).

I thought they were not going to give me mine but I just waited and they did credit them to my qantas account.

And they're crediting all transactions including the 1 cent ones?

They did last month.

I've had numerous correspondence with Bankwest and no one has said anything either. I tried opening another (I have 2 already).

How many transactions are you doing a day using the macro Cephalopod? I did about 50 one day before the computer said no - Telstra payment rejected due to bank. If you space them out over days does the system not flag?

I kind of want to see the 10000 bonus points before I start testing the system!

I'm doing 30-40 a day with Optus with no issue, yet; looking forward to the points (hopefully) hitting my account next month

I notice that when I log into my internet banking the transactions I make on a weekend come up as being made on the next Monday. This means on a Monday it says I made 150 transactions.

Does anyone know whether I'll still get the points for each of these even though the system is saying I made more than the max 50 transactions on this day?
