Does anyone knows if the $2000 month deposit for the BW offer can be from another bankwest account? say from mrs bankwest account into my bankwest account?

I'm using another institution's account but the T&Cs don't seem to restrict it.

Just saw that the Bankwest account currently has a 5k promotion, thought I'd pop it here rather than start a new thread:

Earn 5,000 Bonus Qantas Points promotion is only available to eligible new Bankwest Transaction account customers who have not held a Bankwest Qantas Transaction Account in the last 24 months and apply from 13 June 2022 until 7 August 2022. To be eligible for 5,000 Bonus Points you must complete 10 transactions using your Debit MasterCard each month for the first three months of the account being opened and have a valid Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number. 5,000 Bonus Qantas Points are transferred to your account within 60 days of becoming eligible and are subject to change. Your account must remain open for points to be transferred.

Applied for a new account. In the process, I remembered I had an old BankWest account that had some money in it and had been closed by BW 3 years ago due to inactivity. So once I remembered that I called and got them to transfer the funds to me, so thanks for the prompt!

Mine is long gone so would need to write it again. I think Telstra has implemented changes to their website which would make it more difficult anyway.

I can’t think of any easy options anymore. Telstra was basically the last remaining source however many years ago it was.

Depends on your intention with the account I guess. I’m only going to cancel it after the 5000 points come in

I don't see why not. I transfer 2 x $1k in and out in the same day (although not with another Bankwest account).

Same here. Although sometimes I let.it sit in the account over a weekend.

I believe I saw in the T&Cs somewhere that the first month is excluded from the charge you get if you don't deposit 2k. You can probably make a case you didn't have a chance if you got the card late in the month.

Anybody receive the 5K bonus points yet (if the promotion has been running for more than 3 months...) ? If so how long did it take for points to arrive, I read up to 60 days.

Also how long does it take for BW to credit points accumulated via spend or money sitting in the bank account?

I only saw the promo in June, haven't had any points sweep yet.

Ah ok, think the promotion only started in June, so earliest people may see the 5K bonus points is late August I guess...

Points from Bankwest normally turn up around the 9th of the month following the one you earned them in. Any points from June will likely credit late this week.
