Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

The second someone had their points removed someone should have posted, what was there to lose? Oh apart from countless others on this site safeguarding theirs.
I was overseas and wasn't checking my account every other day as I usually do at home.
A heads up wouldn't have gone astray.

Have you actually gone through this thread instead of shooting your mouth off?

The surprise gift from BW on the 5th has been reversed today. It appears that if you moved them across to a different account (leaving the account empty) you will keep the points, but if left in the account deposited they have been reversed.

I don't think that reversing points incorrectly credited is a low act, in fact it's very reasonable. Why would you expect to keep points that were accidentally delivered to your QFF account?

If BW wanted to reverse thousands of points earned on transactions made, however, that would be a different matter.

Anyone notice anything interesting in their QFF account from Bankwest today?

there was plenty of chatter on the subject on the 14th so only a few days after you posted your comment on the 8th

Not one other person said "YEP I got a whole heap of points transferred to me as well" just......crickets

It's not worth getting too upset about neon - after all, the points that have been posting are entirely due to some kind of glitch, and none of us has earned them at all. I kicked myself after missing transferring them the first time it happened, but I've not made that mistake again on rounds two and three.

Indeed. These points are just a windfall. And I wouldn't rule out the possibility BW going to some lengths to claw them back.
Until then though, I'm half expecting round four to arrive on 5 Jan...

Last year, I thought the game was up when my January points took until early Feb to come through. Turns out all was well (for some time at least)

Maybe because everyone would prefer for this to fly under the radar? This is a public forum after all...

CHEERS! About 600,000 family points flew under my radar. LEGENDS.

instantly regretting helping half a dozen people who reached out to help perfect their macros.

I am not sure how you can pass the buck on this one...

Not passing the buck, I'm seriously dark on myself for not shifting all the points I'm also just frustrated that on an ANONYMOUS forum where we all help each other that people actively decided not to share their insight and could have potentially gained millions of points for fellow ausFF members.

Surely early warning could have helped.

I thought everyone's eventual annoyance with bankwest and general attitude of giving and helping on this forum would have resulted into a frenzy warning everyone to shift points out as soon as it was evident that they were taking them back, if I wasn't overseas and away from my normal internet patterns I would have made a huge noise about it. I also failed everyone else.

I don't recall reaching out for your help...
Maybe invest in Award Wallet? If that's to much, remember: easy come, easy go.
