Approved Monday 8th, card arrived Friday 12th. Complete shambles to activate - somehow my mobile number wasnt linked to it, meaning the whole process required human intervention. Nearly hit min spend with bills that were held over - hopefully points come quickly and cancel this thing... but I'm not holding my breath!
Thanks tizey. I still haven't been approved but some some bills due in early Feb to help get me to the minimum spend.

I'm tempted as I just spend some points... but I've only held shares for a couple weeks so I'm not sure when I will receive documents that will prove my ownership and get a discount on annual fee :p
I just brought my documentation into the branch which the staff copied. They didn't seem to know a lot about the shareholder benefits. Did you end up getting the discounted annual fee as well as the sign on bonus?

I didn't end up applying based on another users experiences in the thread. When banks make it tough to prove your income it becomes even more so for me, so I tend to stay away. I have instead re-applied for a NAB card (have NAB shares) and also use a Coles Flybuys card and an Amex Ultimate.

I didn't apply for this one either, due to them complicating things with the way they ask about credit card repayments. Maybe if they offer it again I'll reconsider it.

I applied for the HSBC card instead, but that's an ongoing saga for the HSBC thread.

I have previously tried to get that one and despite having been with the bank for over 10 years, holding accounts in HK (w/ CC) and NZ, they just kept going in circles to the point I gave up. But that's a story for another thread ;)

I finally received my card. It took over a month and numerous phone calls though. I first rang 2 weeks after I applied and they had just started processing it. They wanted me to cancel another credit card even though no other bank ever had a problem with me having 3 other cards before. I had to email proof of closure. After doing that and not hearing back I rang again. The person processing it was away so they said to call back another time. So I did that and no they didn't have the proof I had emailed. Eventually they found it in the inbox. I sent it to addressed to the right person, my full name and application number on it but it just sat there until I called. They said they would send it for approval and I would have the card in a week.
I waited a week and halfway through the next. I called again. The card had not been sent as they forget to attach something or other to my application. They express posted the card. I finally got it. Wondering whether to activate it or not but my credit score had already taken a hit so I did. But then it was rejected wherever I tried to use it. I had to call again they didn't explain why it wouldn't work but it was finally fixed.
I don't expect to receive the bonus points without a fight.
I'd like to hear when others get their bonus points.

Hello again

Strange things happening here.

I applied for the card and have been spending as usual and just about reached the $2,500 spend. A couple of weeks ago I brought in my shareholder details and the staff photocopied it so I could get the discounted credit card fee. Seemed to go ok.
Then last week I received a pile of documentation that you normally get with a new credit card application. If I recall correctly I had already received this. .

Then today ANOTHER card arrives. My first card was the Qantas Bendigo Bank Platinum and this one, which is very similar, is the Bendigo Bank Platinum Rewards card. Both cards have the same expiry date but different account numbers.

I rang the credit card hotline and they had a look at my account. They said I would need to ring the frequent flyer department during business hours tomorrow but they did confirm that the two cards were the same account and asked did I know that the card was being reissued/upgraded or something to that effect. I can't recall the exact words but I gained the impression that one product was being replaced with the other.

Anybody have any clue as to what is going on?

hrmmm.. first statement with excess of $2500 spent on it... no points. Not even normal spend points.

This will be fun.

As it’s 12 weeks since this offer opened I’m wondering if anyone has received their bonus points?
I made the $2,500 spend a few days after opening in Feb. I have received the usual spend points but not the bonus points yet.

I called last week after nothing on 2nd statement - somehow my QFF number was lost and never registered. Got them to check on status of spend points and 50k - told it should be there on 3rd statement.

Did anyone actually ever get the points for this card?

I called a few weeks ago and was told no bonus points will issue until 90 days after the end of the offer which ended 31 Dec 2017. Points should have started issuing from 1 Apr 2018.
I was told I qualified for the bonus and “will” receive them before the middle of April. No sign of them yet. I will report when/if they post.

I assume that this was within the terms of the offer?

My bonus points landed this week without any drama I feared might happen considering the difficulties in actually getting the card in the first place.

So points appear to have taken longer than the stated 90 days to be paid?
