Best Way from BKK airport to Sukhumvit

if unsure of what the fare should be check on the grab app then tell the driver thats how much you are prepared to pay
That’s all very well but the last time I took a taxi I used that approach and a bit over a Km from the airport the driver pulled over and insisted on his original price and paid immediately. You are in no position to bargain then.

airport taxi is the quickest and easiest. just get a ticket and from the machine and go to the corresponding cab. very rarely a queue and if there is it moves fast. the meter will be 'broken' but tell them 400 baht including tolls which is about right
My wife is Thai and the drivers still try to pull every stunt in the book. It's worse coming back to airport where they point blank refuse to take you for anything less than 600 baht and most want 800 baht plus.

I don't want to play this game anymore so avoid BKK unless we need to do business there and to be honest I'd prefer to stay in Ladkrabang in a hotel that offers free shuttle to/from airport and take train into BKK if needed.
