The Currawongs are busily feeding their chicks at the moment by annihilating the crested pigeons in my garden. Too many Currawongs so few small birds to be seen. I would like to dispatch a few Currawongs. Till the next one moves in.

There have been a few photography threads where photos have been posted alongside questions/advice, but I was looking for a thread where the primary goal was to just share photography. I'm a member on a dedicated photography website, but I spend far more time here, so thought I might as well start a birdwatching/birding thread, due to the gear that I currently use pushing me in that direction.

I've never considered myself a birder, though I did dabble in aircraft photography for a while and the equipment I now possess would probably work quite well for that too; perhaps when things get back to normal.

I didn’t see that, perhaps it needs to be moved since the recent change to the forum structure. I was only looking in the photography section haha. My mistake! I’ll continue to post though.

This lovely kingfisher landed just now in front of my window, poor photo as it's just from my ph and through tinted wet glass, I think it is the Azure Kingfisher. Plenty of water here in bne for it, 50mm last night

Wish I was somewhere with kingfishers for shooting! Lots of rain here too, but not really their usual habitat. When this rain goes away I am hoping to head to the rainforest up Tambourine to see what I can spot.

I am an entry level birder - hoping to become more educated about bird names and types!

As am I, it's shoot, import and then search the internet for the name
