Whilst it sounds like they might be sticking, I think I will still leave it a while before I ring to choose seats.

Well strangely enough i actually called today and booked my extra legroom seats for both of us both ways with no issue at all. They were fantastic and helpful as always. Well...if they are going to change it then what difference does it make? May as well get organised right? ;-)

Because an eagle eyed CSA might spot the pricing (or lack thereof) and raise it with management. They then put paid (pun intended) to future bookings.

I would like to make sure the various bookings have stuck for long enough that it would be too difficult to cancel them.

You know, not calling is only really relevant when the super-cheap fare is still available as it may bring knowledge of the cheapness of the fare to those concerned about such matters.

Once such an inadvertent cheap fare opportunity is shut down and can no longer be booked, management would already well and truly know about it and be already pondering their options.

So, after booking of such a fare is shut down, calling matters far less; at that stage calling to assign seats is hardly an issue - certainly unlikely to have any effect in management decision making.

I did call to assign seats two days ago - the only comment from the agent was "did you know you are only there for one day?" My reply was, sure, but plenty of time, I arrive 7am and depart 11pm - that's up to 40 hours .. ;)

Yeah I called to do seat selection also. As a non status pax with VA I'm in row 76. Does anyone know if it's a long walk to row 76?!

I called two days after, gentlemen on the phone was super helpful when adding my Velocity details to the account and assigning our seats. I think I got 36ABCD

Complimentary bulkhead or paid exit row?

I'd like to see if I can get a bulkhead seat as ~29 hours is a long time to spend behind recliner. Paid exit row is more than the cost of the flights. ;)

I'm just praying to the upgrade gods that I somehow fluke an upgrade (unlikely as a non-status pax), hoping to get lucky travelling alone...

Rang this morning as was only able to get Row 25 as Gold for my BNE-LAX flights. Was told row 20-24 is currently restricted to Platinum and to try 48hrs before.

Haha...well actually paid row 26 but not more than the flight. I always fly this seat as i get to sit fully reclined in the middle away from the exits. Very comfy. I figured i got a cheap flight so i can afford the seats. ;-)

Yeah right......keep praying! ;-)

*** oh god of upgrades, please grant me an upgrade if it is within your divine upgrading will; i promise to indulge in all the upgraded goodness that you shall bestow upon me ***
