She double checked where the lobster is from and it does come from Boston. So you’ll be able to test drive it in the good ole USA. :) Actually, I found it a bit watery.

BTC at TPR? Sorry, I’m confused. I was just referring to satay on the TPR menu, great dish to start the meal with.

Just completed CBR SIN FRA JFK. 2/3 of those flights depart late at night so eating was not as much as a priority as getting to sleep. I had BTC 2 out of 3 of the flights, but only consumed 1. I’ve done those flights a few times, (usually ex SYD).
At the TPR, I particularly enjoyed the angel hair pasta with wild mushies in a light cream garlic sauce. I love garlic and cream and this is a small but perfectly formed dish. It’s a well balanced combination and the flavour remains in the memory for a long time.
In future, I think the pleasure of a long examination of the on board menu, and seeing how I feel at the time, and how much I had in the lounges, may be the way to go for me instead of BTC.

Have upcoming flights SIN-NRT and NRT-SIN in F. Both have kyo kaiseki on inflight menu and look slightly different to each other on each leg. Any advantage to the BTC kyo kaiseki or will it be the same?

just doing btc for the first time for someone

just a bit confused, on the drop down for one leg it gives a wide range of options, including pancakes

so if you choose a meal, dessert is autoamtically included? I see many people being served caviar

sorry , first timer for me

It’s just the main course that you are pre-ordering. The on-board appetisers, desserts, salads etc are all served up automatically on board unless you decline them.

awesome! thought so!

so if you ordered a pancake as your meal, youd get 2 desserts! perfect if you have a sweet tooth :)

We are talking F here, you could have 4 desserts if you wished. They usually have plenty, and then there are the boxed chocolates that are offered around - always take at least 2 of those.. No shortage of satisfaction. :)

its a diabetics worst nightmare.....or heaven!:)

id personally prefer refills on the caviar :)

I wouldn’t BTC again for Lobster out of SIN or the Chicken out of CDG..... but all the other plates were good.

does destination/origin matter? would have thought its luck of the draw or you got a bad batch?

First time SQ flyer so have no idea, but I just didn’t like the meal. The standard menu read and looked better.
