Just had the lobster yesterday. I didn’t have much to compare it with. I’ve had lobster before, but never prepared that way. It was tender and delicious. Last night was the beef with peppercorns which was equally delicious.

Have upcoming flights SIN-NRT and NRT-SIN in F. Both have kyo kaiseki on inflight menu and look slightly different to each other on each leg. Any advantage to the BTC kyo kaiseki or will it be the same?

Any advice on this one? I’m very excited about the Kyo Kaiseki!!!

awesome! thought so!

so if you ordered a pancake as your meal, youd get 2 desserts! perfect if you have a sweet tooth :)
We are talking F here, you could have 4 desserts if you wished. They usually have plenty, and then there are the boxed chocolates that are offered around - always take at least 2 of those.. No shortage of satisfaction. :)

Sssshh. Mrs Happy Dude might be reading this.

Random question.
The kyo kaiseki option, does it replace the entree, dessert , soup from the normal inclusion?

When I tried it, it did and I couldn't make it to the end. That was in the new suites SQ221

Flying J on Monday to CDG. Was picking between the satay, wholesome fish, or beef rendang.
Then choose the poached eggs for breakfast.

Sounds like the Singapore air staff are a bunch of alcoholics:D
And yes, at this point in the meal the cabin crew were topping up Champagne from the caviar course, white wine from the soup pairing, and now also red with the lamb. I'm a bit embarrassed about the number of glasses in that photo!
Vodka is also missing from the caviar course as well

Think I'll give BTC a miss this time and let the menu surprise me... Yes I know I can log-in and see it but where's the fun in that :p

FWIW the Ette had LT yesterday ex SYD and rated it delicious - it is never going to be as tender as fresh lobster but it was only mildly more firm - she said flovour beautiful but she still maintains secret is to request the cheese sauce on the side and not covering it as too much of the sauce makes it way too rich.

Crew actually agreed and often suggest this to pax who have ordered LT so if this is your desired BTC fare might be worth keeping in mind.

Do you request sauce on the side at the time or well before?

not sure if this location/season dependant but

the lobster option for CDG-MEL is currently

Spiny Lobster with Pilaf Rice

Pink South African spiny lobster served with wild rice, young spinach, baby carrots and white butter

Sounds exquisite

Has anyone ever had the roast chicken breast with mushroom cream out of Sydney?

Flying with a bit of a picky eater next month and keen to hear/see how this one is.
