Where were you when we needed you? It's all over bar the shouting. :D
Still think PayPal had a glitch in the system, as it didn't get sorted on its own.

Are you two coming over for lunch?

From here http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/january-2012/january-2012-a-34084.html you will find that Straitman is away enjoying India.

I think 1 or both could be there but hoping it doesn't sell out that fast before his return.

Here is to a quick recovery Boss.

Now to book some flights.

A speedy recovery will no doubt be followed by a suitable drink. Get well soon BR

What a time to be away in CBR seeing clients yesterday.

bossreggie, trust you will be out of hospital soon and under doctors' orders (as well as +1's) to have some R&R.

I'll talk to you in a week or so.

So jealous of everyone going...and no, don't send the jet to pick me up because the answer will be the same :(

As Advised.

This is a "sample menu" only.

I am flying over to meet with Simon to finalise the menu for our lunch Saturday week.

Also as mentioned, there will be some prizes on the day and even some surprises. I am trying to arrange to have a couple of my high profile friends in attendance to provide some entertainment.

I have decided NOT to publish the final menu, rather, leave it as something to anticipate.

Can all those who are coming and have yet to email me, please do so ASAP. [email protected] If you want to be on the waitlist, please let me know.

I know it is a while off, however, I am heading to Europe again early in Feb and I'd prefer to have this all arranged prior to leaving.

Mm.. green with envy. I'm disappointed I'm unable to attend. Get well soon Bossreggie, I hope the full frontal lobotomy is as simple as Moe Syzlack describes.

P.S can someone enlighten me on the flounge commiseration event?

Email sent, have made non cancellable booking at the Hilton Auckland, and got myself 2,500 bonus points from Facebook.

This should be fun, now to tell everyone at work I am going to Auckland for lunch.

Check your Duty Free

For those travelling from NZ back to OZ for this, it's may soon be time to consider Duty Free.

This mob seems to consistently provide the best prices: Duty Free Stores New Zealand - Free delivery to all Airports

Here's there current sale flyer: http://us4.campaign-archive1.com/?u=3a3e3eea56338292bf8bc0bdf&id=b948ace02d&e=7bbb392f3c

General Specials: Duty Free Stores New Zealand - Bargains

All prices in NZ pesos, multiply by .8 to get OZ cost.

Generally works out MUCH less expensive than buying Oz on arrival.

It is pre-paid, so you might like to wait until closer to the date - note you do need to order at least 3 business days in advance.

I can vouch for these guys. a bit of a pain collecting on the way in, they are located a fair hike from the main duty free stores just before customs. so you walk down and back. I recommend carrying an empty carry on bag to haul the stuff, (I fit 6 champagne in mine) even big strong blokes will struggle . Picking up in April (on way to Bossreggie Lunch) 6 Bottles of Moet, 4 non vin + 2 vin + 2 bottles of Brandy. Moet NV at NZD$49.90 and Vintage @ NZD $84.00. per bottle as I am across quite a bit I bring a fair bit back with me as well, pity the Oz allownace is not as generous as the NZ allownace.
when you do your order it will give you cost in NZ Pesos and AUD

I've been buying all NZ Duty Free here for many years and have picked up some great bargains. Just one warning - Look carefully at the bulk prices. Eg. 6 x Individual 1 Bottles of Moet at NZ $ 49.00 each (with over $ 100 spend), but a 'Six Pack' worked out to NZ $ 60 something per bottle. They have great customer service. I've had to ring a couple of times to change an order and 'Michael' has been very helpful and even dropped a couple of gifts in my bag when something went wrong with my on-line order.

Many thanks, serfty for this tip.

I usually buy my duty free at AKL and pay in NZ pesos - always much cheaper.:D

On a recent visit, I bought a bottle of champagne duty free in MEL, only to find it cheaper in NZ pesos in the local FoodWorld supermarket!!

You must have arrived at gates 15 or 16. For all other gates it's on the way ...

We also often get some nice australian reds offloaded onto the NZ market when there is an over supply often at a significantly reduced price (e.g NZ$25 for an AU$60 bottle), so that is another thing which may be worth looking out for.

Hi All.

Just spoke with the team regards the weekend.

Friday night @ Jervois...... I have booked the private dining area and capped the attendees at 12. I can not increase the numbers attending the Friday dinner at all.

Hoping to have a very "special" winemaker on hand to take us through the wines.

If you have not expressed your interest in this, please do so ASAP.

You probably already have down for this, but didn't want to miss out on a good steak.

Also, double checking, have you decided to depart Sunday evening, or Monday?

I believe BR was staying for lunch on monday, I'm not sure if he was departing on monday.
