Bouquets for the FAs

I was having the same problem, the CSM was also excellent !

For some reason i want to say Julie but I'm probably way way off lol (didn't sleep well that flight so memory isn't what it could've been). Hopefully Red Roo can identify her. There cannot be too many German speaking CSMs on the BNE/HKG route! She truly is a credit to the company!

Long time lurker, first post (I think!)

Rob, Guy is a mate of mine. I've passed on your comment. He was *beaming*

Love this thread!

Three I can think of:

Carol who've I've had a few times on 767s that does the BNE-SYD-MEL flight. Went as far as giving a written compliment via the website. She clearly loves her job with a passion and it shows.

The entire J crew on a few Saturday SYD-ASP flights I've had (mainly the same crew). Charming and very personable. And they took care of me really well one flight I had where a migraine knocked me for one badly.

Also Guy from a few QLinks flights MEL-MQL. Perfect gentleman, remembers names and faces, quiet funny and the Welsh accent tops it off nicely!

I'm able to identify the crew based on your flight details, so please send through your feedback/comments anyway. :)
Yes. You know way too much about me already.

Had really good interraction with one of the FAs on todays BNE-SYD flight but as usual I have forgotten her name. Why John you idiot?

The 2 "ladies" in 25AB decided they were going to recline on this long flight. The lady next to me was not too happy as there was not a lot of room for her. When they came around she immediately asked them to put their seat back up during meal service. Not this is only a snack flight. Kept the lady next to me happy.

Went down the back for some more biscuits and had a chat with the FA thanking her for her help. She had short blonde hair if that helps.

I am going to make sure I take notes next time.

By the way I was a little naughty with my recliner but I do not care....

Well I'll be buggered! (I suppose there just isn't that many Welsh people called Guy working for Qantas out there!) lol

I'm just glad I could do something nice and make him smile!

i wish I actually knew some FAs personally (Aussie ones anyway - i know a few DL ones from a past life). Which is odd that I don't since I'm such a huge flyer you'd think I'd seek them out!

Sitting at Hong Kong airport waiting for the ferry to Macau. :). I would like to nominate Kutay - hoped I have spelled that correctly. Had him in F on QF127 today and he was just brilliant. Also (while not an FA) Roger from the SYD F lounge who was charming and went out of his way to make us feel valued and welcome.

Again, not an FA, but Joe in the SYD international business lounge really looked after me when I just missed out on the lunch service last Saturday. Just lately the Qantas treatment has been so good I feel they must have a secret file note saying "AFF member, please give special attention"!

I've already sent feedback to QF and received a reply, however my family received excellent service on 22/8/13 on QF406 and QF924 from CSM David (I can't recall his name, but SWMBO swears its' correct).

Thumbs up to Anne on QF2091 CBR-ADL yesterday. Dealt with a couple of DYKWIA's from the ACT government with a smile.

Dianne on QF442 yesterday from Melbourne to Sydney. We had a good chat and she seems to genuinely enjoy her job. Oh and she pulled a couple of pax up for my pet issue of turning the screen off on their phone but not shutting the phone down.

Big thumbs up to Vicki on QF639 tonight. Certainly seems to enjoy her job, and created a very bubbly and warm atmosphere in the Y cabin.

Flying this weekend and expect Peter Collyns to be on my flight so anticipate service above and beyond. ;)

Just wanted to follow this up by noting I ended up flying up and back with reps from Qantas, QantasLink, Airbus and descendants of the airline and found both flights enjoyable. Good service, but nothing that stood out, although perhaps... normally when I'm offered tea I'm then asked if I want milk or sugar, but onboard QF2532 (24/8) my tea made it to me just how I like it, I hadn't asked for white tea. I didn't enquire how they knew, perhaps I'd travelled with them before, or perhaps the iPad's on mainline have made their way to QFLink at last, but it was nice to just get what I wanted without even saying it :) little things :p

CSM Andrew Stanisforth and FA Cristina on my MEL/PER flight (QF481) [in J] on Tue 20/8

CSM Simon on my PER/MEL flight (QF476) [in J] on Fri 23/8 [He and Andrew trained together at "CSM induction"]

CSM on my MEL/BNE flight (QF636) [in J] on Fri 23/8 [Trains new CSM's and we had a big chat about AFF/mASA's]

All professional, brilliant service and up for a chat.

Great idea Anna!

I'd like to nominate Steve Martin (no! not THAT one) based in Perth who looked after us very well on the SYD to PER flight back sometime around March. He is based in Perth.

CSM Phil Coates and the super talented ADL based crew Linda, Carolyn and Nicola on QF 783 on 3 Sep - big bouquets..

FA Maddy Brooks on QF632 MEL/BNE tonight (3/9), very friendly when she scanned our BP's (Travel Guru, MattinCBR, Stoopidsteve and me) at Gate 2. As she went past us when all pax had boarded, she said she would come back later after the meal service was finished. She ws good to her word, chatted to Travel Guru and me for 15 mins and really had her head on for a Gen Y! Very impressive.

She is also an ADL base crew.

Sadly, I didn't get individual names, but Red Roo should be able to find the people in question given the information below :)

My bouquets are for the two ladies at the front of the cabin on QF822 (Melbourne to Canberra 2SEP13). They were lovely. As I was getting off the plane, one of them did the obligatory "Welcome to Canberra". I replied to her casually "More importantly for me, 'Welcome to Gold'".

I got a puzzled look so I explained to them that the flight I'd been on had just bumped me to Gold membership (I had been sitting on 690 before the flight and have been looking forward to getting lounge access for a while now) and they wouldn't let me get off the plane without giving me a bottle of wine to celebrate my new status.

Completely unexpected. It was just a really, really nice experience and I had a smile on my face for a good hour afterward. Amazing customer service :)

Had Holly on QF9 from DXB to LHR on two occasions (upstairs economy) and she is a blast. Very, very friendly, good for a chat and a laugh, especially if there's not much going on during the night flight.

Just happens she is a looker too. Her off-sider is an Aussie that is based in the UK who is just as friendly and fun.

Both of these girls made my trip so much more enjoyable.

I had Anthony on two occasions a few years ago now flying between LAX and I think MEL (could have been LAX-SYD) in Y. On first occasion, a male passenger and his girlfriend had not been assigned seats together: passenger was in middle seat next to me, while girlfriend was in window seat a few rows back. Passenger wanted me to take the window seat but while sympathetic, I was unwilling to take a window seat to help them. Passenger then called Anthony, who was also trying to get cabin ready for takeoff. The problem was more complex than could be solved simply, so he calmed the passenger down and said he would see what he could do after takeoff. Meanwhile I noticed that next to girlfriend was a couple. I asked the couple if they would be willing to move up a few seats so male passenger and girlfriend could sit together. They obliged, so male passenger and I moved back and the couple moved forward. Anthony noticed what had happened and came by, thanked me for the help in settling the cabin, and we chatted briefly.

I believe it was about a year later, Anthony recognizes me on boarding. "Aren't you the person who ....?" I was blown away at being recognized so long afterwards. Customer service like this is amazing!

Which brings up a question: does QANTAS have a database which flight attendants can enter information into and extract information, or would this have been entirely by memory (perhaps with support of a pax list with names and status, so he may have seen Firstname Lastname GOLD and it triggered)?

In any event I was totally amazed at being recognized after many months had passed.
