Bouquets for the FAs

jrobin, long time since we crossed paths :D. QF (both Dom and Intl) now have iPads with pax details, usually held by CSM.

I was blown away on my BNE/MEL flight a couple of weeks ago when the SCM came through the curtain and as she turned, I saw the screen which had my details on it. "Uh oh", I said to Travel Guru sitting next to me. She came to wish m a happy birthday (3 days previous) and that really surprised me.

We had Alan Rumble today on QF64 - Mr FM and I thought he was terrific - very smooth, efficient and anticipating needs. Generally we have been rather underwhelmed by Business (OK spoilt brat - been awhile since we flew J internationally) and really did not enjoy the flight to JNB on the 10th, but Alan made the return trip much better.

The Adelaide based crew on QF577 SYD-PER on 23 Sept; great bunch.

Also, Gareth on QF642 PER-SYD on 25 Sept; excellent service, great anticipation.

Didn't get the names unfortunately, but fantastic service by the crew on last night's (27SEP13) QF487.

Apart from having the sexiest sounding engines of the QF fleet, one of the best things about the remaining two RR 767s (ZXE, ZXG) is the mini Emerald City at the front of whY. On the 487 those in this mini cabin were treated to a full, international style pre-dinner bar service including nibbles. Meals were served by hand rather than from the cart and the crew were super attentive, clearing away trays very promptly and topping up drinks where necessary.

One for a QC staffer in ADL. Marianne at Reception/Service Desk checks me in and I ask for an ODU. She confirms that not all J pax have checked-in (30 mins before flight departure), so offers to watch for me and process an ODU on the way out of the Lounge (if available).

Then a brilliant CSM, Russ Moore, on the flight. Service with a smile, quick quips and had me and my seatmate laughing

Deborah, in the Sydney QC this morning.
Helped me out over the phone by finding seats together for myself and my wife (not important to some I know, but in this case it's our 1 year anniversary).
She solved the problem, which is great, but it was her friendly manner that really stood out.

CSM Dorothy and FAs Annetta and Paul on the QF489 last night (04OCT13) - personal welcome from Dorothy as one of only two WPs (as far as I could tell) in whY. Secondary personal greeting from Paul who was managing the main cabin. CSM Dorothy kindly offered me a drink from the bar served in J glassware as well as nibbles. Kept checking back through the flight to ask if I needed anything and also told me it would be no problem to use the forward J bathroom should I require. All three came back before the seatbelt sign went on to wish me a pleasant weekend. Outstanding on the "late shift" before knock-off!

Karolina in F on QF1 - very attentive but not overbearingly so. Very professional service, a credit to Qantas.

I've had great experiences on my last two flights. QF553 BNE to SYD yesterday (15/10), CSM David spoiled me with wonderful service and extra Lindt chocolates to go with my red.

And this morning (16/10) on QF121 SYD to ZQN, CSM Burns and the FAs were very attentive. Breakfast was great - with bubbles. I scored myself 1A for this flight (my first international business flight) and had a shadow! I'm sure that was luck though. The cabin wasn't full. But I felt very special.

The scenery on the descent was spectacular and the landing was a 10 out of 10.

Looking like a great week in Queenstown.

Love the idea of this thread. Is there an equivalent thread for the ladies and gents at the pointy end of the plane ? They are less visible than the FAs but nonetheless a very important part of the crew.

I want to shout out to the crew of today's QF878 to SYD which boarded on time, completed checks and departed on time then good management (and maybe some luck, favourable winds and ATC) had us down on 34R in 24 mins, less than half the sched flight time. Long roll-thru on the RWY reduced our taxi to T3 and we were at the gate a full 20 mins early. Brilliant, thanks QF.

Top marks to Derrick on flight QF127 to HKG on 19th October, simply brilliant service from this young man, yet with many years of FA experience.

Annie O'Dell and Debbie Jameson - always big smiles and very friendly.

Thelma from Adelaide is uber discreet, elegant, very lovely and watches the service like a hawk.

Danny Lansdown from the same base - the best on the network, hands down.

Andrew Graham from Sydney - fantastic.

Rosie on QF093 on October 14 was especially brilliant.

If I was a younger man.......

22 Oct, QF24 BKK-SYD, very full flight in Y. Had a shadow.

Sharon was the cabin manager wearing the new uniform. She had the iPad and came and introduced herself to me thanking me for flying Qf etc. She told me to call for her if I needed anything. Was well looked after during the flight and thanked on departure.

I do like the new uniform and upon asking Sharon explained more about it and also how much she liked it.

An interesting observation, as I was boarding the FA looked at my BP and greeted me by my first name as is my preference. They had obviously been briefed on status customers and our preferences. Well done.

Also had a Sharon on QF52 last night looking after me in Row 75, got to say it was the best ever night flight I have had, crew worked hard to get the service out and done within an hour of pushback, nothing was too much of a hassle, a really polished performance. if I did not know better I would say they all worked together all the time it was that slick!

If this is the same Sharon I'm thinking of (and I'm 99% sure it is) she is absolutely brilliant!

Had her as our CSS on a trip to SIN earlier in the year. Warmly welcomed and told if I needed anything she would be happy to personally attend to it. Came around with glasses of Billiecart for myself and two mates and then took time before descent to write a list of the crew's best restaurant and bar tips. Continually brought snacks and drinks from J through to us and organised for the gentleman sitting next to me to be moved to an empty exit row so that I also had a shadow. At passport control one of my mates realised he had left his jacket on board. He frantically made his way back to the gate where Sharon saw him and escorted him on to the aircraft and helped him search for the missing item. She also told him that she had dealt with a pax who had vomited all through row 37 during the flight...not that you would have noticed! Didn't bat an eyelid!

I sent feedback through at the time about how excellent her service was. It certainly made for a great start to our SIN jaunt. She is a real asset to QF!

A belated bouquet from me for Mr. Col, who was the main FA taking care of the J section of the QF92 flight on Sunday, October 13 2013.
Neither me nor ms. gypsy have seen an FA with such warm smile and all-out welcoming attitude in many flights we had in QF. Kudos from me.
