Well done to the ACCC for identifying the detrimental Competition issues with regards to BP.

Back to the drawing board for Woolies, I suspect they will continue trading the petrol sites for the foreseeable future at the very least, as it’s unlikely no other large player will receive ACCC clearance.

My +1 just received this yesterday ... 0nly drama is, our local BPS are more expensive servos. Velocity never seem to send these to me.

BP forecourt was flooded with cars.

Apparently their central pricing had frozen and so their ULP was stuck at 127.9 when all the others in the area were over 149.9!

Looking back at this thread, was this all a storm in a teacup, relationship seems to be going strong!

Largely because BP was blocked from buying out Woolworths Caltex. And if that had happened, we'd be earning Woolworths points at BP :)

Correct!

Every few years ( usually 3), the agreements between the loyalty program ( in this case Velocity) and partner ( BP) is up for renewal.

Changes to earn rates and partners will no doubt change in due course.

You only need to look at the “On, Off, On again “ agreement that Woolworths made with Qantas in terms of their loyalty proposition.
