On the Velocity page at the moment:
"BIG THINGS ARE COMING FROM BP!Check back on 8 June to find out more."

Well it's 8th June and nothing showing yet... maybe later in the day. Curious what it will be if they are intending to wind up the arrangement?

Still nothing.

Maybe one big last hoorah? 20points per litre?

Just got an email saying I could win 1 million points by swiping at BP until July 5th. I guess that could be it, can't be too many other BP announcements left.

Unless you happy to be the judge adjudicating the case here this appears at best blind speculation!

I agree with you Daniel996. The Platinum edge is also a good use of earning extra points per dollar at any servo. Although where BP & Velocity wins is the number of service stations that are located in Perth. If I have a Coles docket then I go to Coles Express but if it's more convenient with BP & have no docket, its simpler to swipe the velocity card.

With the current Amex offer (spend $50 to get $10 back), I was wondering can I still get velocity points by filling up at BP? TIA :)

I did ask at my OTR (who has the BP franchise to sell fuel in South Aust) when they will stop giving bonus points, and got given the shrug and asked to check online.
So as far to an exact date when the VFF & BP/OTR bonus points tie in end, no one seems to know.
Bought a slim battery bank without fuel just this past Fri night, and was still able to swipe the card down the side for bonus VFF points and slide the card in at the bottom to pay for the non fuel purchase.

Doesn't seem like anything is happening. I received a 4x points offer for fuel/in-store purchase.

No one I speak to in the stations knows anything about it. It's all news to them. Wasn't it all supposed to wrap up this month??

I rarely ever get BP offers but seems they're still coming - Mr J received the 4x points offers for fuel/shop in-store, and I got a 250 bonus points offer. No minimum spend on either offer.

Same here. I just got a 250 bonus point offer for any fuel purchase at BP.

Mine doesn't have to be a fuel purchase (and I don't need any at the moment anyway), so was thinking of just dropping in and getting the Sunday paper at BP tomorrow :)

The trial happened on 5-7 September and the judge has reserved his decision.

There will be a decision usually within 1-3 months. It seems Velocity and BP have agreed to maintain the status quo until the case is decided.

Hubby got a 6 x point offer on Friday. I never, ever get an email from Velocity so he filled up my car.

Interesting, according to a tweet from a political reporter it appears the ACCC are blocking BP's acquisition of Woolies service stations. I wonder how this affects the termination of the BP/Velocity agreement?
Edit: According to this article it states:
In a separate decision, the ACCC has also decided to grant applications from Woolworths and BP, subject to conditions, in regards to shopper docket and rewards loyalty program.

BP and Woolworths must limit shopper docket and loyalty scheme discounts to no more than 4c per litre (in total per fuel purchase) and Woolworths is not permitted to fund more than 2c of the discount.
So maybe no luck keeping the Velocity agreement.

Looks like a big mess.for BP. AcCC is opposing the aquisition largely due to BP being expensive!

The tie up with Woolworts Rewards got approved, but no real point if the aquisition fails.

And the court ruled the BP/Velocity tie was terminated by BP...

Who knows where this will end up!
