My son is looking at flights from Los Angeles to Brazil but it is a bit too soon to book the return flight.

Kefuan. From Cusco its a great trip by bus or train ( bus is better IMO ) to Puna. See Lake Titicaca and if brave continue by boat & bus to la paz ( same ticket ) which has about the world's highest of everything! You acclimatise OK on the way up & with the overnight stop at Puna.

I can see QF/LAN MEL-GIG return flights in J all the way (except for SCL-GIG and GIG-SCL) for just over $6k on expedia. Seems a pretty good deal ?
It seems that Y will be around $3k for that peak period. On the 1st of June QF to South America jumps by like 50% per way from $~1000 to $1500.

Our son sent us a text saying he would have to continue on from "dry July" and then maybe give up food when he saw the ticket prices!

So the match draw is July 30, the initial ticket ballot is Aug 20 through to Oct 10 and even then you don't know if you have tickets or not. Booking flights that have no change fees seems the way to go!

Yes my 2 sons head out from Perth for Los Angeles in about 2 weeks. It is a bit of a long cut to get to Brazil but it gives them some fun time in LA prior to the football.

Let me guess; SQ Suites ?

My son flew over for the soccer friendly in Sydney. I guess he is into supporting the Socceroos. He used my Velocity points for a red eye Sunday night in J and is coming home on his own points on QFF today in J. He took a 2 day holiday from work to warm up for Brazil.

It is getting much closer now. I hope everyone who goes to Brazil has a ball.

My sons used the long cut to Brazil via Los Angeles to allow them to go to the Stanley Cup today. Never wanting to miss anything pretty much works for them.
The rejigging of the match venues will cause some angst as Brazil is a pretty big country.

That is really good that supporters can get onboard for the challenges ahead.
