With a certain bookmaker offering to refund any bets if Australia score a goal, I cannot lose!

Go the Aussies!
They have fought back well.
Timmy Cahill is a legend!

Uh oh trouble.....never assume - if there were connecting flights don't you think they would have been on your itinerary???

No, not El Salvador... Salvador! Where the World Cup is being played | NT News

Surprise surprise it was Flight Centre who organised the trip.

Another set of Socceroo supporters drove 12 hours to watch the Socceroo's train.

Members of the supporters group the Green and Gold Army have shown their dedication to the Socceroos by driving 12 hours to watch the Australian team take to the training paddock.

In another article it reckons one aussie fan paid 60 grand, for round one tickets, flights and accommodation for the 2010 World cup. Plus the article mentions people are getting gouged for accommodation and internal flights in Brazil.

And, if you think those African game safari packages are expensive, wait ‘til you fall in love with the round-ball game: I read of one Aussie fan who paid $60,000 just for round one match tickets, air fares and accommodation to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa – and, in Australian world travel terms, that’s just a short hop of 13 hours from Sydney (to Johannesburg).

One of my sons had a FIFA ticket to a seat that did not exist. Security was lax as some took fireworks into the stadium.
Go Aussie!

My two sons arrived around June12th and will be at all the Aussie games plus the last English (non) qualifier. They are in a group who have used flights and buses to get to venues. My eldest spent a year listening to CDs in his car to get some Brazilian words into his travel vocabulary. So far their texts and tweets have been sparse but I do know they would prefer the Cup to be somewhere else but certainly not Qatar. Brazil should toughen them up a bit and make them less fussy with what they eat.

Saw the excitement on my sons faces when the Socceroos scored. We saw them celebrating at the game with us watching on our London big screen downstairs. Go Aussie!

Early start (5:00 am) for me tomorrow for the WC final. There'll be the happy camp and the disappointed one, after 90 minutes (or longer, if it's a draw at that moment).

Alarm clock set for 4.30am with a flight to SYD scheduled later. Hope no extra time or my clients will have to wait ;)

Yes early night tonight, for an early morning tomorrow.
Go Germany!
