Well I'm tutoring first year engineering thermodynamics... apart from discussing the distillation of alcohol to produce beer, wine and spirits.... plus I'm not about to coerce an extra 6 VFF Platinums to guest my class into the lounge. Plus I have to shout them at least the train and bus fare there and back (or enough taxis).

And their tutorial topic for that week is on power generation and refrigeration cycles (critical topic, guaranteed at least 1 of the 4 questions on the final exam). Nothing about alcohol.

5pm type entry to lounge -> 7pmish. Jump on Airtrain Fortitude Valley/City/Spring Hill/South Bank in 30 mins. Dinner started by 8pm and wrapped up around 10pm.

Would work for me.

Don't pigs produce methane which can than be used to power a generator and don't pigs swill beer? (well at least I've tried some beer that's very close to pig swill)?

Looks like we have enough interest with more than a month still to go.

Current plan is DJ Lounge from 5 to 7 for pre-dinner drinks then head into the city for dinner. Anyone who isn't interested in the lounge visit is more than welcome to join us at dinner in the city (venue still to be decided). I dare say that there will be more drinks after dinner

Haven't got my roster out that far ahead but if I'm not working I'll be there. It's SO's week "off" so he'll be there too unless he's working in DRW or PER.

I've got tutoring until 6pm, and that's if my students let me off the hook at that time. I'll probably only be able to meet directly in the city for the main event.
