I've been in contact with VA and we are all set for our time in The Lounge before dinner. As a heads up some of The Lounge product team staff will be present to get your feedback on The Lounge.

Counting down the days, only 1 year, 20 days until I'm officially old!

I’m starting to wonder if they intended for the floor to wear like it has been. Looks very strange walking around, but not sure if that’s the desired look.

Will have to ask them on the night.

I'm not sure if you heard, but yesterday while Roger was in the Lounge I was asking him about the floors. He said they have had all kinds of trouble with it, they think they have finally found a solution to it, last night they deployed that solution.

I'll have to check it out next time I'm there.

Didn’t hear that. I know though when I was leaving their attention to detail seemed very high, with a staff member polishing the base of every table to remove shoe scuff marks. Will have to check it out soon… though next time I’m near will probably be for Tuesdays flights.

No consensus has been reached yet, let me see if I can come up with a suggestion later tonight and see what everyone thinks

Alright, so assuming that Southbank is an acceptable location, I would like to propose the following dinner location:

Satay Hut Bar & Restaurant

Seems to have a really good range of food and although I've not eaten there myself I can only find good reviews. Plus they do Malaysian Jungle curry so I was sold as soon as I saw that

Assuming there will be a few of us I'd suggest we would need to book a table, so I will assume that the following people are coming to dinner. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if I need to add you to/remove you from the list by the end of the week so that I can ring the restaurant and make a preliminary booking.

looking through the thread seems we are meeting at V lounge at app 5ish and then to Southbank by 7ish to arrive for dinner to be at 8ish.

I will have to leave by app 10.30 to get the train home back up the coast.

As mentioned before, I'll be along for drinks from 6:15ish, but to add to the conversation, I'll have some family members with me who are travelling back to CNS with me that night. I can bring one in as a guest, and I know others have indicated there should be plenty of guesting spots amongst all the Golds and Platinums, so could I possibly ask if someone can help me out with one more guest spot there..? Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. One of the other members contacted the lounge and they've agreed to host the function. Last time they didn't even ask to see our Velocity Cards, just mention to the ladies at the front desk you are all here for the AFF Event.

I'll be coming to the lounge for sure. However, at this stage, I doubt I'll be coming to dinner in the city afterwards. I've got an early start the next day, and the 60min drive home makes it a very late night.
