Gold Coast getting hammered at the moment. I can only see a wall of white from my balcony.

Yep, lots of smallish but heavy cells all over SEQ and Northern NSW.

Sunny and humid my part of the woods right now. But think we might be in for a show a little later. Already had a brief power outrage a few hours ago (maybe 2 mins duration), so network re-routing resolved the outage.

Not surprised - there is a lot of lightning around and will be for a while. And will be similar case for Gold and Sunshine coast airports. Brisbane West airport (Wellcamp) is probably clear now
