Business Class Slop

I think it's important you try the hot dog - for comparison purposes of course.....

It's not meant to be.

The past few weeks I have seen kenyan lamb curry, mini burgers and some sort of taco. Don't want to try them so have no idea.

The Italian chicken is fabulous. Even more so when they have risone instead of dry jasmine rice.

I am confused that you would think this is good when an earlier post you said that "slop is a nice way of describing it". As soon as all the chicken has been picked out of it does it become slop in your eyes, or will it still be fabulous?

I have never described the Italian chicken as slop. Once the chicken bits have been picked out I wait for more. And if I see none on the way then I ask for more.

Still waiting to try the mini hot dogs. :(

I thought the Kenyan lamb curry was quite edible, I actually considered asking for the recipe!

I guess if it was authentic then it really should be goat curry, but I'm not sure that would go down very well.

why can't they use Australian lamb?? :p

Indian beef tagine with mograbiah.

I normally run when I see these type of meals so thought I would try some. I should have run. Does nothing for me.

Panzanella Salad in the BNE business lounge today. Stale bread and tomatoes is quite nice and rich in vinegar.

Much better than the Kenyan Lamb curry and beef tagine on offer.

I liked the Kenyan lamb curry in the MEL lounge this evening ... topped of the island dining antipasto nicely.

Had Beef Nachos for lunch in SYD this week, topped with hot green chilli, yum!

Breakfast earlier this week in the MEL lounge was some VERY poor looking and tasting scrambled eggs and spicy sausages that no-one was touching!

No bacon :(

In the Sydney Lounge last week and whilst it was not Food I still found the following rather appalling.

Towards the end of the evening the bar tender was seen in full view pouring the remains of different bottles of wine and putting them into one bottle ad placing in the fridge for next day or under the bar in the case of reds.

Staff used the same gloves and mixed clean and dirty glasses on the same tray then used same gloves handing over what they thought were dirty to be washed then using same gloves placed what they thought were clean back on the tray for use the following day.

Spoke to lounge manager who said shouldn't be happening he spoke to staff BUT filled bottles were not removed nor was the glasses that had been placed with the clean glasses

Looks like the menu is here to stay. Time to provide feedback.

- Beef tagine with mograbiah
- Chicken tagine with cous cous

Is there a world food shortage? This stuff is slop. I saw a full tray in BNE business lounge at lunch yesterday (Saturday) and in the evening the tray was not so full but looked like it had been out all day.

TSV yesterday had a variety of party pies and some sort of chicken strips. Forget the name. They were gorgeous. Does lounge management have a say in the menu available?

And for the trifecta the BNE Qantas lounge had vegetarian tagine.

Thai place at ADL Airport is Jimmy Chu, isn't it?
Inside dom security, near Travelex and Bendigo Bank ATM.

Wondering about all these 'tagines' - especially the Indian one!

Do they come out in an actual tagine(s)? Or is it just stew with 'Moroccan' spices?
