So I have received an email message from Virgin about one of my flights, offering changes or cancellation for travel credit or refund.

When I click through and choose the refund option, I get this pop-up error message:

"Refund Original Payment Gcc Contact Details"

If I go into the bookings through the app, the cancellation option is there for Travel Credit only, not refund to my payment method.

I can't faff around with this for too long, as they've rebooked me in a few days, and I don't want to take the flights.

(Redcliffe is the other side of the city, although I guess they both have 'red' in the name).

You'll need to call the guest contact centre for a refund to your original payment type.

I called VA yesterday after tomorrow's MEL-OOL was cancelled and because it was a Choice fare I was told I could only get travel credit. The cancellation was 'due to weather which is not VA's fault' so they aren't issuing refunds. My inbound on Monday was a Flex fare, but of course they applied the most restrictive conditions to the whole booking. Not a huge drama for me as I'm about to book flights later in the year and will use the credit but be aware of the company line they're peddling.

We were sent our new flights to Adelaide last night. Mine at 8.15 on Sunday morning and bAlt's after 12 (revenue and rewards bookings). It would give bAlt 40 minutes in ADL before we were due to come back on our still scheduled Sunday afternoon flight. At least I would have got to one of the four Fringe shows we'd booked ;)

bAlt cancelled his booking last night but mine was booked with my Amex $450 credit.

I've just logged in and via chat cancelling was no issue. The rep could see that I had used the credit last November but assured me that the credit would not be reversed. I'll of course get a credit back from Qantas on the card. That $450 will more than cover the cost of the Fringe tickets we can't get refunds on. I won't bother with an insurance claim.

It is becoming a bit like watching grass grow or at my place no grass so watching the weeds grow.

It's super weird Ron. My sister down at Banora Point is getting hammered and here we are with our wall of glass that looks down onto the river wide open.

Can I get opinions on what will happen with this JQ flight due to land at BNE on Sunday morning please?
If the airport is still closed, will they not leave ICN or will they divert to another Aus airport (SYD, CNS?)?

New update at 12pm

Further south again, still hasn't started tracking north - looks like the eye will pass either at the very south tip of Moreton Island or north of North Stradbroke.

Even still that is based on an abrupt change of direction to the north very soon.

The waiting is the worst. Just get it over and done with. I just took photos and videos of my house inside and out. Praying no trees come down.

My friend bought a house on Lamb Island 2 months ago. Previously lived in Toowoomba.

I just googled exactly where it is. Not looking too good.:(

Depends on what aircraft they have, VKL is in the ground @ ICN, they cancelled the last ICN-BNE flight, may well run 2 ICN-SYD to clear backlog tonight, VKF is on its way there.

The pertinent question is what happens to the outbound (JQ53) due to leave Brisbane Saturday morning.

Best case that's delayed, in which case your flight will also be delayed. But if it's cancelled, your flight will likely be cancelled (unless there's an extra jet in ICN).

JQ53 is showing as cancelled on the BNE Airport Flight Board........
