Live feed from BNE in the lead up to closure at 4pm for those interested.

Went to RACQ to get an insurance quote on my new car and greeted with "We have an embargo on any new policies in your area due the the cyclone." FFS.

This is normal, and most policies would also have a clause referring to an embargo period when there is a predicted major event such as a bushfire, cyclone etc.

NRMA car insurance embargo period. PDS from 2023.
if you buy an policy close to an event such as this, your certificate of insurance may show the embargo period.

Try Moreton Bay Flood Viewer

Scroll down a bit, then type in your address in the search box.

Not limited to Moreton Bay. You can type in practically any address in BNE.
Thank you so much @Big John - I had a look at the link. Very helpful. Is it safe to assume that the map only provides flooding information for the City of Moreton Bay area? Reason I ask is, one of my colleagues has a place sort of in between BNE and OOL and they were a bit worried that their property might be affected. The green dot is where my colleague's property is.

If that's City of Logan council, perhaps Map - Logan Flood Portal

Looks like Virgin has a very different recovery strategy than Qantas....... from what I can see Virgin has pulled the selling of new seats on all flights in and out of Brisbane until Thursday 13th......

TMW is the home of the Dash8 this week. In addition to the 4+ -300s in storage, it has become the refuge for QLD -400s. No doubt it will be soon taking diversions from ARM too.IMG_0450.png

Well the seats Sunday are going quickly, vanishing before my eyes while on hold with QF, I've managed to get a seat at 09:25 Sunday morning, and hoping my cruise goes Sunday arvo! haha
