Carry on Luggage

Anyone use this?
@support [Maybe some of these Parcel forwarding posts could be split into their own thread?]

Can't say I have yet, but I'm going to start the process of shopping for a new provider soon (MyUS didn't help at all, but I did find a 20% PromoCode that somewhat eased the blow).

Looking at that example of the shipment I made from the UK, their pricing looks about similar. But the differentiator might be in additional services they provide, such as:
  • Storage time, and rate for longer?
  • Parcel consolidation
  • Parcel re-packaging
  • Photos - both number of and quality
  • Location of warehouse (this might be relevant for both Taxation and also logistics)

Will freely admit I havn't read every single post in this thread but here is my experience:
- Hardly ever been checked for carry on weight or dimensions when flying with Emirates (Qatar on the other hand were to the gram!)
- I have the July Carry On Pro and flew Sydney-Vienna without being questioned at all.
- The only issue I had was that some of the overhead bins (I was at the front in Premium Economy) were really tight for fitting.. The single bin right at the front I had to slam shut and felt like I was going to break something in my bag, but it made it without issue.
- July have been amazing to deal with whenever I have contacted them.. :)

Thank-you for that review . I’ve now bought July light carry on as I don’t really need a larger one and a suitcase which is slightly larger than current one. They certainly look quality. And pretty 😂. Still Not sure about the backpack.

Goodness! What cabin? Taken probably a couple of dozen J flights and never had them so much as look sideways at my carry-on.
I was only Economy this flight with no status.. However they made me take apart all my bags at the check in counter and put clothes on to bring the weight down. Horrible way to start a long haul BNE-Vienna flight!

You get annoyed at airports with carpet because it makes you rollercase more difficult to pull along.

Looking at you SIN.

I transit there quite often hence so far managed to resist upgrading my 2 (big) wheel Rimowa carryon which rolls smoothly on any carpet.

EXACTLY !! I now get one of those small trolleys and put our 2 rollons on it and Ron can push it to the lounge !!

Exactly. I was going to reply to mrs.drron - get a 2 wheeler!! :) Handles gravel too (I'm looking at you, HBA ).

Get a four wheeler. July brand which has only travelled on carpet - in my bedroom coz I didn't want to scuff the wheels just yet 😂. Which makes me a non frequent traveller I guess. 🤣

Four wheeler was the problem. Greater friction on the carpet.

I’m a long time two-wheel guy… but for our recent trip I gave the two wheeler to Miss H as she found it easier. This left me with the four wheeler.

I found two major hassles with the four-wheeler: the carpet and the case trying to run away when not on a flat surface.

But you can pull a four wheeler along as a two wheeler so isn't it more adaptable?

@RooFlyer following your request in the other thread, I have this (though previous generation model) Applite 4 Eco 50cm

And recently added one of these to the collection after advising the family our five week trip to Europe was “HLO, or you don’t go!”:
