I wonder how many empty seats will be on planes for families trying to book multiple seats with only 1 (or 2) seats being issued.
This offer benefits the solo travellers. Definitely going to be challenge to book with partner/family/children.

If one were lucky enough to buy two adult seats through this, would it be possible to add child tickets afterwards?

I thought fare bucket O is the lowest fare bucket in Y
And it is light fare

You only get one luggage and upgrade via AM is not possible

Do we know if there will be questions to answer or if it's more of a lottery?
From my experience in the Indonesian giveaway it's a bit of both. You wait in a virtual queue and answer three questions on a form. They would announce that tickets from X city has been exhausted overtime, and after all tickets are gone they draw the lucky ones (filled out 4 forms for me and family, only one won).

Guys - DO NOT enter this campaign!!! We have a case of “discrimination” for NOT speaking putonghua in a CX flight! Now the staff is suspended and CCP paper wants to deal with this airline harshly!

Hi TomLee1986,

The people here know what is happening around the world.
However, the free tickets, if won and for the travel period you like, could still be useful for:

1. visiting friends
2. visiting relatives
3. as a base to buy cheap tickets to fly somewhere else to have a holiday there. i.e. Japan.

by free I think the taxes and charges could be over $500 AUD, I am not sure.

If I have to pay full fare I would pick Europe / America / Japan over HK subject to season, of course.

Yes, so Monday I will give it a go.

Given that the fares will be booked into fare bucket O, could we assume that it's open/to to whatever flights currently have availability in O?

It seems that way....problem is finding flights with any O remaining, cant see ANY (from MEL at least)
