Bankwest CCR data now listed on Experian (credit savvy).

CBA as well, it pulled up a card with an opening date of Nov '99, although it's changed a bit over the time - my current card is a CBA Black Amex/MC combo, but there has been plenty of different cards during that period - somehow they've morphed it all into one (the current).

Westpac and Bankwest CCR now listed in illion (via Credit Simple), interestingly along with more telco data too. "Accounts" section lists account open and close date, limit and repayment info etc, which "will remain on your credit report for up to two years after the account is closed."

NAB has added various mortgage enquiries and an old credit card enquiry to my creditsimple. Has dropped from an (unreliable) 1000 to a more reasonable 880. It still has the least information of the 3 agencies

Me as well, the've gone back to 1986 for my account which is probably when I switched from a Bankcard to a Mastercard

In my experience about 50% of applications do not show, AMEX for example has never shown for me.
I've noticed that Amex and Macq applications don't always show up, but what other lenders are less likely to show up?

However, I'm not sure that I want to advise a credit bureau that I've been refused credit.

Are there any disadvantages if I advise a credit bureau that I've been refused credit?

you cant advise them you have been refused credit, there is no system for such information to be recoreded, You might as well advise them what the weather is - they dont care.

I was of the understanding that if you've been refused credit you are entitled to a free credit report.

You are entitled to a get your credit report for free, its the law, and you dont need to give them a reason get it.

Not sure if I’m posting this I the right place.

Credit score was 888 2 months ago. Didn’t change as large credit limits started showing on Equifax. Has fallen to 500s last month as they cited “repayment history”. I haven’t missed any payments or had a change in my finances. I managed to get through to Equifax on the phone. Apparently had something to do with not receiving data from CBA for my credit card (which I only have due to mortgage and don’t use). I sent them NetBank transaction listing & said they’d contact CBA.

Last correspondence was this wouldn’t be resolved within their standard 30 days.

I’ve since received a further score update with a further fall.

I feel I now need to take some action. What are my options?

nobody is going to care about this score, apart from you. So you really dont need to do anything about it.
One benefit will be less advertising from Equifax for great deals on unsecured lending.

Thanks for the heads up. I thought that it was an automatic decision gate for some credit products (is minimum credit score cut off) and will in future qualify me for better pricing (in theory according to the ones making up all these rules) than if I had a lower score.

My Australian credit score has moved up to 808 and I saw there were about $300,000 of credit card limits not listed.

In the future maybe, at the moment there is still not enough data in the system to make the score valuable (as Cove has noted with his "missing" 300K).

Thats is the case if you beleive the marketing hype from the credit score companies. However the fact remains that the banks have been scoring credit applications themselves for 30 years. There is no chance that a long standing lender is going to rely on Equifax et al determinations of credit worthiness. The lender will grab the data and make their own asssessments, as they have always done.
