Change to Family Transfers

Cool. That makes it easier to pool points after short trips.

I should probably add that I can't think of a reason why it should not work, which is why I said it will.

Like you, I use a similar technique to consolidate small balances amongst my family.

Considering the devaluations in the QFF program, this had to eventually happen considering 100k of points is not worth that much anymore.

At least the ATO point whales will be happy.

Very happy for increase from 1 transfer to 4 per year and also for the slight reduction in minimum points to transfer, though it is interesting that there is a cap of 400k per year. I guess that won't affect too many...?

No reduction in minimum (that stays at 5k), but an effective four fold increase in maximum per year to 400k.

Wasn't it 7k?

Ah... scratch that. I realise why I thought 7K now. A family member had 2K. I had to transfer 5K to them, so that I could then transfer the 7K back to me. This was the first time I'd ever done family transfer, and for some reason, I just assumed that it was one transfer per family member! So what a pain when I realised that that was actually my only transfer for the year... (my bad...)

Sharing QFF points

Looks like a genuine enhancement!

Sharing your points just became easier

Qantas Frequent Flyer has made it easier for you to share your Qantas Points with eligible family members. You can now transfer between 5,000 and 100,000 Qantas Points up to 4 times every year.¹ This change means you can enjoy greater choice and flexibility in the way you use your points.

Re: Sharing QFF points

Excellent, finally a real "enhancement" - unlike some other recent ones I could think about
