I presume others got the 7500 bonus Macquarie points for signing up email:

apply by 1 June, 2010 and you will receive 7,500 bonus Macquarie reward points#

# Bonus Macquarie reward points will be credited to accounts applied for before 1 June, 2010, and will be credited within six weeks of the first spend on the Account. Offer is only valid one per Account. First spend on the Account must take place within two months of Account being approved in order to be eligible.

Also, they still seem to be offering the $275 introductory annual fee.

Well after complaining how Hilton really never sent me any promos Macquarie sends me a list of specials every month, mrsdrron says a fellow has rung 3 times from Macquarie this month(my membership also expired end april.Plus every 2 weeks an email trying to get me to rejoin.
However with my change of program there is absolutely no point in me going around again.

Well against my better judgement I have renewed but only because I have had the offer of 7 stays or 15 nights to get Diamond and I have 11 nights already booked.

I am still not impressed with the thought of Macquarie running the show. :(

Nice, their renewal ratio and new members must really be down to be offering a deal like this. I have just paid my first monthly CC bill (the fee). Doubt I'll be putting much else on it.

Am I invisible? :(

Give me the chance at Diamond and I could not care if Macquarie was running the show. Oh well....

If you really want, send me a PM and I'll flick you through the details of the email they sent... perhaps you can argue you signed up before the deadline. The same offer goes to straitman.

Yeah, I think they are desperate. Their IT systems are absolutely stuffed, and they really don't know who to ask, who has enrolled etc. I presume most of this is the fault of the previous HPC owners...

HPC and PP are run by the same people - thank god PP have yet to be Macquairised!

One would have thought, though, that HMC would have been a bit consistent with the administration of the two programs. While PP does sometimes have a bit of a disconnect between the sales process and reality, it did not exhibit any of the chaos characteristics that HPC admnistrations did (and still does)

I am not across the issues with HPC but PP does have its own, members in China are reporting the new certs indicate no points, and the renewal process is interesting with a daily email reminder at +60 days, I had better keep making hay whilst the sun shines.

Well home again now.Opened up my letter from Hhonors with my new gold card.Accompanied by a card saying-"requalify diamond by completing 28 stays,60 nights or 100000 base points".Gee thanks Hhonors.

Yeah I got the same except for me I dropped from Gold. No fast track.

Am thinking about the MVP fast track, but there is no clarification on FT about whether Hiltons outside US will qualify.

I believe it's any four Qualifying stays. It's the MVP rate that is generally only available in North America.

You speak from experience? ...
Nup, just the T&C's. There's no reference stating the fast track stays need to be on the "MVP" rates nor are there any references to location.
Member must complete four qualifying stays or nine qualifying nights (whichever comes sooner) within 90 days of your selected start date for the Fast Track offer. Offer available only for current members of the Hilton Family MVP program and is not transferable. Once you have selected your Start Date and enrolled in the MVP promotion, changes to the Start Date are allowed provided that the new date is not a date in the past and the original start date has not already passed. Once a member reaches Gold VIP status, it will remain in effect through April of the second calendar year following the period in which the member qualified. Full details of Gold VIP membership will be mailed to the member upon attaining the tier level. Offer may be terminated without notice. Hilton HHonors membership, earning of Points & Miles®, and redemption of points are subject to HHonors Terms and Conditions. ©2010 Hilton Hotels Corporation.
In any case, I could be wrong.

... Or are you getting HH Gold the vanilla way?
What? Vanilla? 16+ stays per year my man after being comped in 2005!
