CheckMyTrip Update - No more desktop access or ticket numbers

I've had an account created with the Apple ID, I can see they have removed this option to login.

I've tried logging in with the Apple relay email, but I don't see any of my trips, all gone and I'm unable to add the reservations, it says this reservation has been added to a different account.

Bit of a joke of an "update" really.

Like all others, CMT upgrade is a downgrade.
Deleting the app - it is effectively useless to me now.

If I want to see ticketing information, I'll just jump on Jordanian or Finnair.

Yep, I'm deleting the app now too.

Have just made Royal Jordanian's website a bookmarked site now.

Will use this from now on to monitor my booking.

It's kind of sad though that even though we've all booked via Qantas, that we can't even see the specifics of our flights via the Qantas MMB Portal, and instead have to use partner's websites (even if we don't have any flights with them!).

This poster hit the mark:

This new team is a promising start but the fact that this article advises you to use the Royal Jordanian website or apps like Check My Trip to see if you have an issued ticket number demonstrates just how far behind the mark Qantas are on this issue.

CMT - you've destroyed what was a great app with this latest update.

Yep. Just made this mistake. What were they thinking? Major downgrade on previous functionality. Importantly, no more e-ticket details.

At least you can still get these details through the web interface (for now).
Had that for a few days, and thought it was just me being unable to find the ticket details, guess we have go to the other options…

This change resulted in the loss of all past and future trips that I had loaded. I don't know what Amadeus were thinking by removing desktop access, also. Quite an arrogant "upgrade" - no regard for how their user base interacted with their product. Very disappointing.

Wouldn't accept my QF PNR.
Added a flight number and date manually. It showed the graphic and flight details for the trip.
Exit and go to My Trips.... "I'd love to help...you haven't added a flight yet".

Well I'd love to help you... it's clear you haven't tested your app at all. You're welcome.

Seems you can also only add trips that are created with the same email account used to log in to CMT. See FAQs. This is tedious as I use different email addresses depending on whether its work, personal or who's FF account the booking is initiated from. So you now need multiple logins for CMT and it is pot luck which will work for your booking.

The assistant doesn’t recognize my booking number. Why?

There are some cases in which the digital assistant is unable to automatically import your trip with a booking number. These might be:
– the booking number is incorrect
– the booking is not done in the Amadeus booking system (booking is done through travel providers that are not customers of Amadeus solutions)
– the booking was done by someone else or is associated to a different email address than the one you are registered with in CheckMyTrip.

My bookings were done by myself, direct with Qantas and using the same email address, however the BOT keeps telling me that the booking was made by someone else or with a different account or the airline won't allow CMT to use their reservation number. Very frustrating🤬

I can no longer open the app or login on the website, either.

The CMT website does display this message currently:

Please note that some CheckMyTrip users might be experiencing issues logging in after our latest app release on 1st March. We are working to fix this issue as soon as possible. We are sorry for the unpleasant experience.

Which suggests this may be a temporary issue?

I'm finding it impossible to do the following:
  • Link separate items into the one trip as each item is loaded separately by the bot.
  • Add a car hire booking for a trip. The Bot will only accept a 6 digit reference and the email function rejects the booking email.

Falling back on TripCase now.

Regards,

BD

It sorted of worked on my iPad (after the update) but I had to delete and reinstall on my iPhone...

Is there a magic code you can tell the “digital assistant” to get it to reveal eticket details? It’s not quite chat gpt, is it…

I was able to open the app again after deleting and reinstalling it on my iPhone. But like everyone else, I hate the new format which contains almost no information (such as ticket number). Many of the bookings I had been tracking using CMT are also no longer shown in the app.

So, is there another app that works like Check My Trip but does a better job? What is everyone else using?
