CheckMyTrip Update - No more desktop access or ticket numbers

I really struggle to understand why the majority of Oneworld airlines hide the eticket numbers....QF is bad and with AA until you get an emailed receipt there is no way other than calling to find you eticket numbers forcing one to RJ QR or AY ....Pathetic really especially with all these schedule changes constantly happening
I imagine that airlines do not understand why people would want/need to see the ticket number. I don’t understand why some airlines do not ticket immediately, especially when other airlines do seem to manage this.

I just got a flight change notification to the email address associated with a CMT account that I thought I’d deleted in favour of a new account that matches the (work) email in most of my Qantas bookings. (QF related bookings need the closet monitoring!) To my mind this raises questions about their data and privacy policies as I would have thought clicking “delete my account” on the app would also delete associated data…

It’s a hot mess!

In relation to Amadeus (so count AA out), MH uses a basic off the shelf Amadeus interface on their Web Portal. I believe QR and RJ are similar in this approach.

Qantas is extremely tailored, probably to enforce the mushroom principle.

Out of curiosity, I've also just been looking at other OW alliance airline manage booking websites - both Qatar Airways and Malaysia Airlines (even though I've got no flights with either) even shows more detail than Qantas' own.

E-Ticket numbers and all flight details are showing.

Surely it can't be that hard for Qantas to implement this - but it probably *is* a bit too hard.
Agree. All my BA flights and KLM flights show with eticket on Malaysia App. And unlike CMT both passenger details appear. I can't even open CMT on either iPhone or iPad.

They have a facebook page, but one cannot create new:

In future years, computer science students are going to do a case study on the disastrous 2023 update to CheckMyTrip. I'm impressed with how badly you've messed this up - I don't think I could do such a bad job if I put all my effort into trying to mess it up..

Moments after adding my flight (to AYQ) it sent me a push notification about supposed paid lounge access at AYQ. 1) to my knowledge there is no lounge there and 2) after dismissing the notification on my Lock Screen I couldn’t actually find the details of it in the app…because there are no f’n buttons, just a lazy, temperamental bot that seems utterly pointless.

Out of sheer bloody minded masochism I plugged “lounge access AYQ” into the bot. It helpfully told my I have multiple trips saved and offered to help book lounge access in GVA (!!) - the final destination of one of my saved trips. I clicked the link and it took me out of the app to (surprise surprise) another Amadeus website where one can hand over money to them to pre-pay for lounge access in airports all over the world. Suffice to say AYQ and SYD (dom) aren’t on the list 🤷‍♂️

Is it just me, or has the chat bot stopped 'working'?
Working for me and even let me add a new QF booking and a seperate CX booking.

I can confirm there is definitely a check of First/Middle name in profile and booking PNR to get them loaded. It rejected the QF one but put middle name in profile and it accepted it 2nd time.

Yep same, finally able to get my upcoming trips added via the bot.

I found that I had to temporarily remove my middle initial i profile in order to get some work trips added… so it’s a pointless check that can be bypassed… but painful to have to keep changing.

No e-tickets, no passengers…. But at least should get change notifications as soon as they hit Amadeus.

Yep, there’s the variations now of middle name/initial, middle initial(s) or full first and middle name….

In the past you could always load an itinerary but if your account didn’t match the PNR name you didn’t see the e-Ticket. God help us what that now means…

I had a change notification yesterday from Expertflyer that landed 12 hours before CMT pinged me. If only you could upload a PNR to EF rather than having to manually set alerts for all individual flights you want to monitor….

Received an email notification about a flight next week that was loaded into the old app but is no longer visible in the new version. The entire trip is missing. Seems the data is still there but not visible or accessible.
