China Eastern Delays/Cancellations

The PVG - BNE MU715 should arrive on Thursday 13 July with A332 B-5952 at about 1109, 54 minutes late. As MU716 is the timetabled 1215 hours departure from BNE back to PVG, expect it to depart at about 1230 if all goes well.

Tuesday 18 July 2017 sees the overnight NKG down to SYD MU727 (A332 B-5961) arriving at a suggested 0907 hours, 37 minutes behind schedule. As the returning MU728 is not timetabled to depart until 1030, it should in theory be punctual, again showing the value of airlines allowing a bit more than minimum turnaround at destination airports. Sometimes this may be governed by what slots are available: SYD has unused slots in the middle of the day and mid evening but 1030 hours is a busy time for international departures.

On Wednesday 19 July, MU737, the redeye from PVG down to MEL should arrive at 1002 hours, 62 late with A332 B-6546.

The WUH - SYD MU749 arrival on Thursday 20 July (A332 B-5908) is predicted at 0848 hours, 68 minutes tardy. With MU750 on the return not scheduled to depart SYD until 1120 hours, it should be punctual, again showing the value of airlines allowing more than minimum turnaround in outposts. These flights operate three days a week: a decade ago, nonstops between WUH and anywhere in Australia would not have been on the radar.

MU 737 from PVG down to MEL is predicted to arrive on Saturday 22 July at 1034, 84 minute slate. Aircraft is A332 B-6545.

On Sunday 23 July, MU711, the redeye from HGH down to SYD (A332 B-8226) looks to be arriving 68 minutes tardy at 0848 hours.

A332 B-6546 on MU737, the PVG - MEL overnight should pull in on Tuesday 25 at 1011, 71 minutes late. With the returning MU738 timetabled to depart at 1100, it will be at least half an hour late in commencing pushing back.

Saturday 29 July has MU739, the 0020 hours just after midnight PVG - MEL that took off at 0111 (A332 B-6537) likely to pull in at 1312 hours, 32 late.

A332 B-6546 on MU738, the 1100 hours MEL - PVG took off at a delayed 1312, probably due to very gusty winds in Melbourne. It should arrive at around 2148, 108 minutes late.

MU561 (PVG - SYD, A332 B-6543) is 43 late with arrival suggested at 0943 hours.

Sunday 6 July's MU749, the 1915 hours early evening from WUH down to SYD (A332 B-5908) did not take off until 2108 hours. On Monday 7, arrival should be 85 minutes late at 0905 hours. As MU750 has a generous time in which to turnaround, with departure not scheduled until 1120 hours, it should be able to push back on time.

Tuesday 8 August 2017 has MU737, the overnight PVG - MEL (A332 B-6545) likely to arrive at 0956 hours, 56 minutes tardy.

For the second consecutive day, the PVG - MEL redeye MU737 (that for the Wednesday 9 August arrival is operated by A332 B-6546) is delayed with arrival suggested at 1100, two hours late.

Thursday 10 August has seen MU738 (1100 hours MEL - PVG that took off at 1219 with A332 B-5931) likely to arrive tonight at 2105 hours, 65 minutes late.

MU562 (1100 hours SYD - PVG that was in the sky at 1309 this afternoon) should arrive at 2110 hours, 110 minutes behind the schedule. A332 B-5942 has the job.

MU711 (1905 hours Thursday evening 10 August 2017 from HGH down to SYD, A332 B-9226) was not airborne until 2211. Resultant Friday 11 August arrival is forecast as 1024, 164 minutes behind the timetable. MU712, the 1120 hours SYD - HGH will be delayed until at least 1145 in its departure.

Saturday 12 August has MU737, the overnight PVG - MEL likely to arrive at 0952 hours, 52 minutes late with B-6545 (A332.) It also came to MEL on Tuesday morning so is a fairly regular visitor.'

MU739, also a PVG - MEL flight should arrive at 1310 this afternoon, half an hour late with A332 B-6538.

MU749 from WUH down to SYD (A332 B-5920) is worse, with arrival predicted at 1225 this afternoon instead of 0740, 285 minutes late. MU750, the timetabled 1120 hours departure will be delayed until at least 1345 in its pushback but the extent of this delay would be far more severe if MU had only allowed a minimum 80 minute turnaround for this flight.
