ZQN has some great dining options?
We did consider ZQN however the 6am departure out of MEL wasnt too appealing (nor the price as @JessicaTam mentioned), and will be a location we will revisit in the future. The pricing of hotels in other cities is just one of a number of reasons we are taking a break.

:(
But considering I copped a DVT when I flew home from CHC back in March, and I've had to cancel my Japan trip as I'm grounded at the moment, I guess it's not too bad, I won't be missing out on too much then!

Wow, I didn't know that! Hope everything (including the new house) is going well.

I remember when we were in AKL for the dinner a couple of years back, AKL was hosting a round of a world series yacht race. Could this be case again, pushing up hotel prices?

It does appear that might be the case...

Well, you know you can put us both down as Platinum (as long as we are not already away somewhere)

Christchurch this year was awesome fun. Especially those amazing flights!

We had the double whammy that they were hosting a Cricket World Cup match that day as well . Glad I had the points on hand for that one...

ZQN is a fabulous place in a Group. Have done this many times. coughtail Bar Crawl anyone?
