Ahh got it. I thought you may have been on a different flight. All good. :)

I was going on the EK metal but a QF U fare became available so I booked that

My head hurts!

Ummmmmmmm

Randomly, having not even read this entire thread, nor do I know any of you, but.... I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just took advantage of the QF Y redemption points sale and booked a flight over via Sydney.

Now I guess I need to look at a flight home, and a hotel, and a dog-sitter, and what there is to do in Christchurch....

Yay for totally random trips :)

Plenty to do in Christchurch. The Antarctic Centre is really worth a visit

Haha! Yes, I know, Jessica... she was SO nice the one time I met her that was what made me decide this wouldn't be such a scary propsition! :)

Must have been a different Jessica

The one I know, sends you home after 1 or 2 small drinks

After successful dinners in Auckland and Wellington, it's time to head to the South Island and support the Christchurch economy as they continue to recover from the earthquakes. JessicaTam and I are investigating restaurants and will advise in due course, but now is the time to lock in Saturday 11 March, 2017.

Edit: Please note that this dinner takes quite a bit of effort to organise, and indeed some effort just to get to. So please take the time to dress up a bit for the occasion. Whilst lounge suit/coughtail dress is preferred, at the very least 'smart casual'. Thanks, JT & BC

I don't have a coughtail frock :-(

I bought a coughtail frock for a cruise. I thought it was beautiful, but my horrible family laughed at meðŸ
