Matt
PS, Thanks samh004 for keeping the list updated.

My 3 year old would spend every waking minute at the Canberra Railway Museum and adjacent miniature railway if we let him...

I would now be confirmed

Have my thursday night hilton stay booked

Syd meetup anyone?

Mrs C has just become aware of me going
'but you don't like trains"

I may have to buy myself the worlds largest model train set now that she has tidied up the parents retreat to where there is room for one!

Daughter arranged as taxi driver in Canberra assuming we arrive at about the time she knocks off work

How may people can we fit in a corolla?

I have to admit, when we got seven into an old Fiat 500, that was creative. Unless of course you don't count people who extend outside the confines of the vehicle. Then it was closer to 5.

Your parenting skills are obviously very good, trains and frequent flying. :) And the best part, they can be combined, no need to split points at all.

It's not unheard of for the two of us to pick up a Red e-deal CBR - SYD - CBR and spend a day riding the rails, catching a ferry, bus etc. Strangely a trip on the Action buses in Canberra don't hold the same appeal.

When he's a little bit older (and I mean old enough to arrange a taxi for his father) I might convince his mum to let him come on a BAM trip..

Heard a lot about this trip last year; just got pointed to this thread by penegal, very interested in attending if the date works!

Scratch that. Date doesn't work. Flying ex-MEL later that evening.

After all the scrambling Red Roo has been doing on other threads sometimes defending the indefensible, I would like to extend a non transferrable invite to Lesley Grant not to an invite only coughtail night but to spend a working day with the bread and butter frequent flyers on the BAM.

Matt

Dear Bamers, I wonder if we could combine some of the CBR people not going on the BAM w' those members who are and have a lunch/brekky/dinner in CBR or nearby where it could overlap. I don't wish to tread on anyone's toes logistically so I am raising it here. Whaddya think .... ?

Have you pointed Red Roo towards this post?

I'm thinking brunch might work best, just incase the train arrives late, plus it's an all-day booze train so those onboard may be a little worse for wear ;)

Ok, I'm happy with brunch, is that going to be close to CBR, the middle or still near SYD?
