Yes. There were soft drinks available last year! Hvr is attending and I know he won't be drinking

The dining room closes at 2pm (checked last weekend) so Goulburn might be a safer option. There must be half a dozen pubs within 5 minutes of Goulburn station.

Yes, I think we might move the lunch stop to Goulburn allowing enough time to walk up the street and back via the pub.

To keep everyone in the loop, still departing Central at 10.30am which will the the only time I won't change so people can commit to flights.
Will stop to pick up and set down at Revesby, Campbelltown and Picton on the way out of Sydney.

I'll be putting some soft drinks plus beer and wine and ice on, please do bring what you enjoy. The same as last year I will go around asking for a donation which can go off to some needy families, last year people contributed $100 and we gave $2600 to the Salvos, maybe this year Vinnies can get a turn.

Still no word on a set roster, its at least been sent for costing. At this rate the minimum 30 day notice might mean the change comes after this Trip, still watching with interest.

Revesby 10.59am (this station is on the airport line away going away from the city)
Campbelltown 11.30am
Picton 11.57am,

Tarago 5.30 to 6.30pm
Canberra 8.10pm.


Anyone wanting to travel for a short run, changing trains (you'll need to buy a ticket back) at Picton will get you back into Sydney at 2.15pm

Or Campbelltown return gets you back 1.15pm into Central and Revesby is 11.55am back to Central.

There is no ticket barrier at Central you'll need to pass through to get on.

Possibly a GL class, 3300hp 12 cylinder turbo charged GE built motor. For the rev heads that's 2460kW, don't ask about the fuel consumption. :shock:

All, Sydney departure time is pushed back by about half an hour to 11am at the request of Sydney Trains, will look at reducing one of the stops to enable arrival into Canberra at the same time.

Also, GL might not be available, so considering alternatives, this will probably change 3 more times between now and then.
