Let me throw my thanks to Matt , Charlie and all involved for making this trip happen . The gwilli1 tribe had a fantastic time and they all pass their thanks to you all . Young gwilli1 nephew had a steep learning curve yesterday about pacing yourself and not going to hard early ... a lesson that we all learn .... Eventually . As always great to catch up with those I have met and meeting more new ones .
I have dropped the +3 back at the station as they head back to Southern Sydney on the Explorer while I'm sitting back in the VA lounge having my much needed double shot latte .
Lastly to all those I won't see , have a great Xmas and a safe New Year , until we meet again at an AFF event in 2014

Time for solids and another breakfast beer @ the unofficial AFF VA lounge after train party

What a great day/night! Thanks heaps to Matt, Charlie, Bruce, the drivers/engineers and anyone else involved in making it happen.

I think I had my hangover last night...headache when I went to bed, felt fine when I woke up.

Definitely up for another train trip, if/when it happens.

We made up half the numbers in the lounge, 6 of us on VA647 now, erk in front of me, serfty behind, major and gwilli to the left.

Lucked out with a shadow as well!

Only one of the VA ATR props was actually turned on as VA647 pushed back - safe flight, hope you survive.

Glenn and I have made it to Brisbane. One more flight to go. We miss Anna by about half an hour today.

I echo the thanks to Matt and crew. An excellent day all round. Great to put faces to some more online names.

Mr hvr hasn't uploaded any ... yet.

Nor will he until permission is received from Charlie.

Charlie was very pleasant and displayed her bikini very well. She certainly enjoyed the day and posing inside and outside of the train although it was a bit cold. However, I don't believe it is appropriate to show these photos on the internet without permission of the model. I will send Charlie and Matt a CD each with all of the photos and if Charlie approves their posting she will advise either Matt or myself and then I will discuss with the moderators as to their appropriateness for this forum.

Thanks to Matt for organising this event it was awesome and I reckon we all had a great time. Met some friends in CBR for breakfast this morning and am now home.

Look forward to seeing some of you next Sunday and others at events thoughout 2014.

Now about to board my train home via Central. Pleasant enough flight from CBR in the ATR. I don't think my seat mate spoke English (or if she did, not very well) & she needed to be invited by another pax to leave her seat. I thought for a moment I'd be like that guy found in the hangar the other day in America.

No hot dogs in the CBR Vlounge & I've got a good gap between trains at Central so I'll eat there.

Once again, thanks to everyone who attended - it was a lot of fun & one I'd be keen to repeat!

5 of us are in the QF J lounge in CBR awaiting QF815 to Melbourne.

As the newly appointed Social Ambassador, I'd like to offer my thanks to BAM1748 and crew on making the day most memorable and one we'll surely not forget quickly! This despite the alcohol consumption (or not for some). From what I'm hearing, there's already talk of when we'll next board BAM 1748 / 1741 and how we could make it more of a success (more alcohol?), so you've definitely got us hooked.

I had a lovely time, even managing a nana nap (and I believe there's more photos floating around). I don't think I got round to everyone, so apologies to those I missed, but it was again good to make new friends and catch up with old ones. AFF truly is a great community.

I'm currently in SYD, not boarding till 16:15, so if anyone would like guesting to the QF J Lounge, send me a PM.

The "afternoon shift" :p

Again I'll repeat my thanks to Matt and all for making such an interesting day.

Currently in 1F on the 3pm flight to MEL having used "fly ahead" ;)

And all of us on board our 738 out of CBR awaiting departure.

Once again a massive thanks to Matt and partner, Charlie as well as all the train crew for yesterday. 13 hours on the train flew by, if you'll pardon the pun! Count me in any time you're doing it again. Truly an amazing day!
