Thanks JV. Do you currently have the non QFF signature card? Did you make the application in the end?

unfortunately I am not citiGold. Happy with $149 for 70k qff

Not signature: only CBG. I have made an application; fingers crossed.

How long has it taken for the annual fee for opting in to Qantas to appear on people's transactions? I was under the impression this happened as soon as you made your first spend after opting in and I'm a little worried it has been 3 days or so now and no sign of it.

I confirmed with my CSR that I had signed up under the 70k promo and would receive the points after $3000 spend on the card.

Keep waiting! I have been actively spending on my card for nearly two weeks with no sign of a fee being added to the account. I can see my QFF details are loaded into the Rewards program section correctly, so I remain unworried. In fact I am hoping I will be able to record 3k of spend ASAP, collect the bonus and cancel the card before I'm billed the fees.

My qantas fee was added the day I handed over my QFF number and my annual fee was raised the day my first statement was issued. I haven't hit my minimum spend yet.

Okely dokely - time for an update but pls be patient - as always with Citi there is a story to be told.

Earlier in this thread I posted that the broken link did indeed work - that was wrong - it worked in as much as it allowed me to apply for I thought this card for Cruiserette but indeed link defaulted to another card type - I then tried to apply for this card for myself using link but it would not work.

I called Citi and spoke to a fabulous agent - she said yes there was problems with the link and that some applications were getting through but were clearly faulty - so she was part of a team calling customers to rectify - she would help me there and then. I said no sorry I am in TPR in SIN on way to Europe for 3 wks and did not want to do it then - she asked for a date and time she could call back - I told her 10am MEL time Jul 6.

Lo and behold she called me right on time as agreed - she told me she cannot deal with Cruiserettes original applic with me which was approved but she would call her after finishing with me - she went on to say Card she would help me with was indeed Qantas Citi Signature but phone only applic and not online applic so slightly diff terms - OK what are diff terms?

70,000 bonus sign on pts after $3,000 spend in 6mths - Annual fee $349 but reduced to $99 first year - $49 to link to Qantas Account. Looks pretty much same as online offer but she insisted this is phone only offer. We completed phone applic and all is good - they need 2yrs Tax Assess and Passport / Medicare Card - no problem - but I forgot to send in. On July 14 I rcvd snail mail saying Applic refused - WTF - so I emailed docs into them - today via email I rcvd Statement for Qantas Signature showing ZERO owing and with 15K limit - gotta love Citi huh?

Agent calls Cruiserette and tells her no big deal with incorrect CC being issued to her - card already arrived - reapply now over phone - we will approve card - send you out new card and you call up to activate new card and we will cancel incorrect card issued as long as you do not activate it. Cruiserette has also received statement for Qantas Signature showing ZERO balance.

Welcome to the world of Citibank - there is never a dull moment and each interaction with them is interesting to say the least - but 70K QF pts for $99? Just now and again a little discomfort for that kind of reward is easily tolerable. But to others - if you cannot stand the heat in the kitchen then just don't take up cooking.

I currently have a Citi Signature, has anybody had any luck cancelling and reapplying to get the bonus points? I can't see anywhere in the T and C where it says this can't be done.

So I applied on a hard copy (as that way I could put notes on it). They wanted my accountant's name and phone number which I gave them but pointed out that as my superannuation pension is not taxable it doesn't have to be declared so the accountant does not see it and won't be able to confirm.

After a couple of days the status showed as conditionally approved. Then nothing for nearly a week.

So I rang and the agent states he wants to confirm my living expenses: apparently thinks they are a little high and suggests a more appropriate/reduced figure. I said OK. He then confirms a couple of other things that are clearly shown on the application and says they will progress the application.

I wonder how long before they want something else or they decide to reject it? You never know with Citi.

When did this $3k spend requirement come into effect? I applied in June and there was no spend requirement. Can someone please clarify?

I have to say, been impressed with Citi!

Signed up June 27th, rang up to register QFF number as soon as I received my card, met spend criteria last week, points hit today!

One month!

Same here. I applied earlier this month (July) for Mrs Danster and there didn't seem to be a min $3k spend. I even printed out the webpage & no mention of min spend, so seems to be pts on first spend.
Would like clarification too, but methinks there may be 2 different offers just very similar. Difference being min spend vs first spend.
I suggest you give Citi a ring & ask them - let us all know what happens. I'd do it, but wouldn't be able to for a few days.

cheers
Danster

Received my sign on points today with the first statement. Applied on 20 June, approved 27 June, the only slightly painful bit was having to call to opt in and provide QFF number which took 10 mins or so.

So I've answered my own question& also for avinashm - calling
Citi was no good, they needed the primary card holder & Mrs Danster couldn't be bothered with that kind of rigmarole. So I looked up the fine print T & C of the website using the identical website URL I used to sign up & there is no mention at all of minimum spend to get the 70,000 points. But multiple mentions of $99 card fee plus $49 rewards sign up fee.

Applied 12 July and status showed "conditionally approved" the following day, then no change for 2 weeks.

Status has now changed to "in progress"; hopefully progress is actually being made.

Phone them up - I had the same issue. A quick phone call and a couple of further questions resulted in my receiving an approval text message that evening.

Mrs Shik applied on 25/07, received a call 26/07 and was approved. Card arrived by the 29th and registered via the phone for QFF.

Different experience to myself - guess her credit is superior!

Received the bonus points the first statement after hitting the spend criteria. Overall a good experience with Citi for me, ten minutes on the phone to set things up a worthy investment for a return of 70k points. My only disappointment is that they have applied the fee to my account on the day of issuing the statement - thought I might get away with that one!

I've received an exclusive invitation to Citi Rewards Platinum card receive 70,000 Citibank rewards + $99 fee in first year and 0% balance transfer tor 6 months. Do those rewards convert 1:1 anywhere?

The only catch I can see in terms and conditions is existing Readycredit customers not eligible for rewards points. So why send me the offer?

Filled in the app and had a call the next day asking for more information about my pay. Supplied and "in review" for a few days.
Got my letter today - declined.
