For those who have had this card for a while and have successful earned QFF points, can you please tell me the format of your name in the Citibank online portal under “Rewards > Modify details”?

I’ve changed my QFF name back to LAST NAME,FIRST NAME,MR

But this doesn’t completely match my QFF account which has it as
First name Middle name Last name

I’m asking as I‘m afraid that the QFF will not be credited because the names on the two accounts don’t match.

Hi ZMan,

Sorry, I recently closed my account and now can't see anything at all. Tip, make sure you print your statements prior to closing account. I do recall it being in the format you mention but not 100% certain.

I think it is the QFF number that is important however, you'll know first statement time as points post straight away.

Hi All
Thinking about applying for this card ( despite having to deal with the citi gobblegook). Question, would it be best just to take the 100k & run once allocated or do you think it’s worth hanging around & paying the $400+ to get the extra 50k of points ? I’m leaning with the former & then move onto the next card.

Whilst I had this card recently, it was only the 100k points for zero fee. Incidently as I said many posts back I didn't get charged the $49 QFF fee and received a $30 credit for enquiring if my QFF details were linked. I closed this card as soon as 100k points were posted and the 2 priority passes were used.

In your situation, I wouldn't have waited for the remaining 50k. Firstly $400+ is a bit steep for 50k points, but more importantly, close down, put some air between when they offer again and get in again say 12 months later and get another 100k points with zero or negligible fee or whatever offer they have at the time.

Is there a way to see the expiry date & CVC before the physical card arrives? The internet banking shows the card number (once you unmask it) but I'd like to have the other details, too, for internet purchases.

I couldn't find a way to do this. Bankwest oblige but Citi do not.

Conditionally approved last Wednesday when I applied & confirmed yesterday.
I’ll be cancelling as soon as the 100,000 points arrive (8 weeks from minimum spend I think?) I agree with everyone else- I don’t think it’s worth paying the full annual fee next year for an extra 50,000 points.

Hehi PDog, this card is pretty good for paying out the bonus points. I got mine the same month minimum spend is hit.

Thanks! I have a ~$5000 bill to put on it as soon as the card arrives, so the minimum spend will be hit super fast

Don’t want to jinx myself, but I am also in the never-had-a-problem-with-Citibank camp!

Haha, so am I. I've had around a dozen cards with Citi no problem and I'm going to go for the Coles card shortly - I actually hope it isn't a dozen and this makes it #13!!

Applied for this one yesterday morning, straight after applying for the ANZ FF Black. (Just cancelled a Virgin Flyer Visa, but still hold a FFFL Citi Signature Visa.) Approval SMS and e-mail from Citi this afternoon. WTF?..... have they dispensed with the obligatory 'phone call, asking where you lived last century and the like?

As for the ANZ card, they did call me; around lunch time yesterday. Confirmed what I'd put down as the value of our house, and that we owned it. Approved.

So now to spend $9,000 in three months. Just as well I got an additional Citi card for Mrs 2905 and it's coming up to Christmas. :p

I also applied for both, and got calls from both the day after submission for (legitimate) mis-interpretations from me on one question from either side.

If I had the Citi Reward Signature in June, can I still apply for this one ?

There isn't exclusion period in the T&Cs

I also didn’t get the phone call or request for further information. Application couldn’t have been easier!

Be careful with this because Citi don't necessarily transpose the details to QF as you see them - I found out the hard way. I don't think it's a random string of your name at all. The format you've shown is what I've got and if IIRC, that format is what worked for me last time after much changing, waiting and watching. Even when I called Citi and asked them to check, they said it was fixed, only to find it was wrong and then I had to wait another month for the points to post. It's an excruciating process but it will eventually work.
So did they credit you all the points you accrued over the first couple of months for the period when the format of your name was incorrect?

Applied Friday, phone call yesterday for Oct/Sep payslips. Asked how long it would take me to get them to them, told them an hour. Told me 5000 bonus points if i got them in in that time frame.
Approved today.
Not holding my breath for 5000 points to turn up

Finally got around to applying for this one today. Have recently cancelled two amex cards, so this will one will have me holding just 2 cards. Probably should apply for something else before xmas.

This card was a nice straight forward experience for me. Hit the min spend in first month, and bonus 100K points posted with the first statement a week or two ago. I'll cancel now - as others have said, hanging onto the card for another 11 months to get the extra 50K points at the anniversary for $400 isn't very enticing.

Got approved, just over 6 months after getting the same card last time.
Could have applied sooner but it wasn't intentional.
I did try to reapply immediately after cancelling the first card earlier this year, got declined and the letter mentioned applying again after 3 months (if circumstances changed).
Hopefully the bonus arrives just as quick.

Hi,

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I applied and was successful in getting the card that requires the minimum spend of $5K in 90 days for the first lot of 100,000 points. I was quite clear with the operator when I applied with the definition of eligible spend for the $5K requirement to confirm government transactions were included as per term 1 below in the T & C's online as below:

1. To be eligible to receive up to 150,000 bonus Qantas Points, you must apply for a Citi Signature Qantas Credit Card by 31 January 2020. You will receive 100,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend a minimum of $5,000 on your Citi Signature Qantas Credit Card within 90 days from approval. Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, refunds, chargebacks, Special Promotions and spend on a Linked Diners Club Card do not contribute to the spend threshold. The 100,000 bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account within 8 weeks of meeting the spend criteria. An additional 50,000 bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account within 12 weeks of the first anniversary of the date Citi approved your account. Your Citi Signature Qantas Credit Card must remain open, in good standing and enrolled in Citibank Qantas Rewards for the bonus Qantas Points to be awarded. All rewards are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Citibank Rewards Program. Offer may be extended. Qantas Points are defined in the Citibank Rewards and Citibank Qantas Rewards Program Terms and Conditions as Qantas Frequent Flyer Points. Qantas Points are earned in accordance with the Citibank Qantas Rewards Program Terms and Conditions. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program and have advised us of your Qantas Frequent Flyer Program membership number before you can participate in Citibank Qantas Rewards. You will only earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points after you advise us of your Qantas Frequent Flyer Program membership number. An additional annual fee of $49 will apply to join the Citibank Qantas Rewards program. Membership and the earning and redemption of Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions, available at qantas.com/terms. Your Rewards Balance will be automatically redeemed for Qantas Frequent Flyer Points at the end of each Statement Period. It may take 28 business days for the Qantas Frequent Flyer Points to appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account. Please note that if you have a Balance Transfer, you will be charged interest on any spend that you make. This offer is valid until 31 January 2020. Post this advertised date; Citi reserves the right to continue, withdraw or change the offer at any time without notice.

It is quite clear what is noted as not eligible to the spend threshold and i have gone and spent appropriately in line with the above. Calls to confirm now my expenditure is correct i am now being advised by Citi that government isn't included. I believe i have a case in misleading advertising with the ombudsman if they hold firm to this but am seeking an unbiased viewpoint from anyone here.

Thoughts?
