Just another favour, if anyone can help - does anyone have a screen grab of the original promotion? I think I might, but can't seem to find it.

American Express are now trying to suggest to me that the promotion ended on 31st December, and so they won't accept any more bonus points for further transactions under the promotion. If anyone can PM me, I'd be really grateful.

The two without that bonus are note large transactions ($46 at Coles and $26 at a Chemist) but it is strange that they did not post the usual 0.5 points/$ bonus. Perhaps your transactions suffering the same lack of bonus? My missing bonus points are a total of 46 points so hardly worth the phone call to chase, but will check to see if other are missing as transactions post.

All of my transactions are posting with their usual 0.5 points per dollar Platinum Accelerator bonus, including the Dick Smith one - just not the Dick Smith bonus that I had gotten previously.

I signed up the same time as everyone else did when this thread began.

Can assure you no refunds - and Platinum Accelerator bonus points are posting just fine.

American Express seem to be playing a game here. The only thing that's changed is that I've gotten a charge card. I even made sure to use the Platinum credit card which had previously been registered and was getting points under the promotion. Going to have to chase this up. Ugh.

I also got the charge card before Xmas.

Due the DSE promo...and that I am also on an additional 1.0 bonus on my Plat spend I deliberately have not taken up the option of the free Plat CC yet (my version also free does not have the flight...and so I will get the flight one eventually).

When I spoke with Amex about my extra 1.0 bonus they indicated that if I took the free with flight amex that I would lose it.

Just bought another $1000 Gift card..and 1000+ 500 + 1000 + 5000 points have now posted.
to be on the safe side I think I will not ask for the free with flight card till post-June.

It definitely was 30 June 2011. The quote from the T&C was : Bonus Points offer commences 2 November 2010 and ends 30 June 2011.

Why don't you make a purchase at dse.com.au. We all know it works for bonus points. Then show your statement to anyone who claims the promotion has expired. You can't find a better proof than that!

You can get a refund at any **** smith store for the item you bought online.

Edit: only do this if you are already registered for the promotion.

What sort of card do you have? AMEX were initially trying to argue with me about this promotion. IIRC opting in ended in December, but so long as you had registered then the you can earn the bonus points until June. Unless AMEX closes the promo early.

I have not had any issues using the D!ck Smith gift cards at Woolworths, Woolworths Liquor, Big W, Woolworths Petrol etc.

Why don't you make a purchase at dse.com.au. We all know it works for bonus points. Then show your statement to anyone who claims the promotion has expired. You can't find a better proof than that!

Is it a fact that D!ck Smith online purchases are eligible for the bonus points?

I'd also be interested in a copy of the T&Cs if anyone finds them. My recent purchase on 26th Feb has not earned the 5x bonus points. Previous purchases of Wish cards all earned the bonus points without any problem.
