Coke Zero -> Coca-Cola No Sugar

Makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes between Woolies and Coca-Cola....err what am I saying, actually it doesn't really Woolies just want more cash out of the deal!!

Not enough shelf space for the $$ offered or too much demanded for extra space which Has to be taken from other products

Of course it is all about the commercial relationship and not the actual product. Likely that agreement could not be reached on shelf positioning and promotional spend. WoW also do have to consider the shelf space availability and their obligations to other suppliers. Also likely that Coke was told they'd have to sacrifice existing space or have another product delisted in return.

It is understood that Woolworths has not had strong demand from customers to stock the new product at the same time as Coke Zero is still proving popular.

Why should WW stock No Sugar when Zero is still selling well. This is New Coke all over again.

Plus the packaging is bloody confusing. How does an ordinary consumer easily differentiate between the two when both are mostly red?

And the fact that the retailers make ranging decisions well ahead of any consumer demand for a product.

I think you'll find that the supermarkets are not able to charge for shelf space in AU :) **

But you will find they have the immense ( & more often than not "non ethical" ) ability to Dictate the Price they will pay a supplier regardless of the suppliers actual cost-point in addition the the additional Discount they require,...in a mandatory trade of business fashion

Follow by the "We will pay you when it suits us, and under the variable conditions that suit us at the Time" clauses in said contracts.

Really amounts to the same thing as charging for shelf space, without actually doing so.

Just sayin'

I'm calling it no sugar on shelves in WOW buy September!
Now is coke zero a collectable yet?

Really? I did some contract work for a food importer in 1999-2000 and it was common knowledge that it cost extra for shelf space at eye level than it did for shelf space at the bottom.

I remember two decades ago a mate was telling me how Myer charged brands for rack space.

Under the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct a retailer cannot require a payment from a supplier for better positioning of their products on shelf or for an increase in shelf space (Section 16) - unless the parties have agreed it under their supply agreement.

Currently in the US and have been to at least 6 different supermarket chains across 3 states. Not one stocked the new coke.

I don't think it has been released in the US yet.

Great so we're the Canaries in the coal mine?

In further bad news for Coca Cola Amatil, Dominoes Pizza to drop the Coke range for the Pepsi Range.

Now, another big player has delivered a hefty blow.
Pizza giant Domino’s has ditched Coca Cola-Amatil as its soft drink supplier in favour of Pepsi/Schweppes, which analysts at Deutsche Bank estimate will reduce CCA’s total drinks volume by about three per cent and deliver further savings for Domino’s franchisees.

Coca-Cola No Sugar: Dominos and Woolworths won’t stock Coke Zero replacement

Funnily my local Woolworths still stocks Life (the green one with Stevia) and Vanilla.
I would have thought you'd delete one of these to get No Sugar in
