Coles gift card offers

On the positive side you do earn 1 FB point as per normal spending and they do count as spend for VA status credits.

On the negative side they do not count towards any FB spend targets but they will dramatically increase future spend targets.

I don’t scan my FB card as for me the negatives vastly outweigh the positives.
Thanks . If you buy more than 5 across several trips / days on same flybuys acct . Will the points still post ?

I would imagine they will. I am not aware that the FB program has any earning caps. If you bought yesterday you should see the points after 6pm this evening.

Anyone having trouble redeeming these at Canberra website. Have had about a dozen go through OK but all declined since this morning (definitely all activated on receipt and checked on coles site)

Can confirm this. Have had just over 4,000 flybuys credit from yesterday which was done over 4 seperate visits. Pretty sure I will be discarding this account at the end of this promo.

This may or may not be common knowledge but for anyone looking for additional stock of these $250 cards, if there’s none on the shelves try looking inside the gift card cabinet. There is a door on either side with various boxes inside. The boxes with the $250 cars look like this:

I am finding these quite often. Either ask a staff member to look for you or open and look yourself.

I reckon I'd get arrested if I got caughted snooping around the cabinets

I went to a few stores, every second one had $100s bought as many as I could, which was only 5 since I went at a quiet time and they had just a few staff. Managed to find one store with about 10x $250s so I took them too, overall happy.

BTW. Are you guys using gift cards to buy? I'm using credit card as I can't find any coles cards with bigger balances. I could use manned but it's quite awkward

I'm using Edge though at limit now. Running out of bills to pay this quarter though

I managed to find some $250 ones today but it is reaching a point where it is not worth my time searching around for them

You won’t be arrested. First store I asked them to look inside for me and they were happy to do it. Second store they told me I was welcome to look myself. Don’t think there is any issue. It’s not like any theft is being attempted. Simply finding out if any additional stock is available.

I am generally using gift cards to buy. Haven’t run into any issues doing this as yet.

I'm assuming you're buying the $100 ones

Not bothering with $100. It’s $250 or nothing for me. If anyone can be bothered with the $100s there are literary boxes and boxes everywhere. It would almost be neverending the number you could get. Just a pain logistically.

From Wednesday July 7, get 2000 bonus flybuys when you buy a $100 or $250 Coles MasterCard. Limit 5 in total.

Back in stealth mode to make sure I get my 5 x $250....
Now to follow-up Jones, Smith, Tran cards 😉

$100 card makes $5.52 profit.
$250 card makes $4.28 profit.

Huge savings, I spose 5% is 5% to some.
Yup not worth my effort...the recent offer was much more generous esp if you could get your hands on the $250 one where you would save $18.70 :)

It was quite exhausting by the end of the week though. In saying that I hope they do it again some time in the next few months! :D
