Some changes to my travel arrangements, so I will be in Australia all of next week.

Not sure about FLounge run... I can see some seats on JQ35, but they are about $350 for Y. So might as well go Y+ for the same money.

Interesting that there's $349 Y seats currently available. They appeared to be totally sold out earlier in the week.

Had a look at availability using the multi-city tool on QF website & QF501 is showing available for any seat awards with JASA's 22,608 or (16,000 points plus $66.35) & YASA's 13,382 or (8,000 points plus $50.83).

JQ35 does not show at all on QF website.

If JQ35 is showing available on their website does that mean they can do a Tiger price match? The cheapest fare showing now is $299.00 or $339.00 if you add the $40 max bundle to earn SC and points.

Just looked on website and still selling tickets for that at $299 for Econ and $349 for business.

Strange, expert flyer maybe has a glitch with jetstar, or different availability in north America.

So what's the plan once we arrive in MEL ex JQ35?

At the risk of appearing ostentatious there's probably enough of us to warrant getting a stretch limo as opposed to several silver top taxis purely for economics!

I was just looking at photos of the Holiday Inn on Flinders & it looks like very like The Banks Hotel almost 20 years ago!

Saturday arvo
Pre-dinner drinks at?:
Dinner at?:
Post dinner drinks at?: Might make better sense for these to be at the hotel where the majority of us are staying

Sunday
Breakfast at?:
AM transfer to airport?: How many of us fly out early
Lunch and or other activities?:
PM transfer to airport?: How many of us fly out later

Pre dinner drinks courtesy of virgin Australia. Lol.

No idea about real dinner. A local should recommend.

The bris people I've chatted to seem to be leaving early Arvo. But as hotel kick out time is 11 i think a mass exodus to qf j lounge will happen then.

Only my musings. Not set in concrete.

Dammit!!!!

The new roster suddenly has me off and available next weekend!!! :(

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise for me that JQ is sold out.....

Expert flyer now has it back at empty, except for J4.
4 is as high as it ever get with JQ.

i.e. They only publicly show up to a max of 4 for their fare booking buckets.

It could really mean J14 ...

Ring Jetstar and do a price match,

They did it for me.

When does the F breakfast end. I could be there by about 9:15 with some luck.

Thanks. I never knew that. I was also being a bit imprecise in my language. I should have said that all fare buckets displayed where showing 0 except J4. That they are still selling Y seats is even more interesting now that I know there could be any number of J left.

Hmmm... looks like I could price match at $100 and book a YASA on the 8am QF flight up... decisions, decisions

1. If you're now off roster DF that's a sign you should be there!
2. JQ35 is not sold out, repeat not sold out. You can still do a TT price match.
3. Your SWMBO is O/S.

You've got all your ducks in a row - it doesn't get any better.
