Yep mine was waiting there as well for me when I got home Sunday evening!!!!!

Ok, I didn't bother emailling anyone etc as per above. About two weeks ago I got an email from AFR saying that I had been given the complimentary membership but that I didn't live in a delivery area (I thought I did but apparently not). As I live less than 8km from the Brisbane CBD I found that a little odd, but hey no biggie, can't complain too much about something that is complimentary.

However in the email they said since they can't offer me weekend Fin review they would give me a 12 month subscription to Smart Investor magazine. I said sure - thank you to Virgin and AFR.

Just called to change address from Canberra to Brisbane - told that they just dont deliver to Brisbane (I'm guessing the only deliver where the Age and SMH is home delivered?) Any ideas?

Didn't even get as far as giving my new address, just said that I had moved from Canberra to Brisbane, and she came straight out with "We don't deliver to Brisbane" - didnt really give me many places to go with the conversation...

One of the worlds great mysteries then considering somehow the AFR turns up everyday to my workplace in Brisbane.

Also reminds me I never received the Europecar status upgrade I applied for, but this would be even less use than the paper.

To everyone that received this offer a year or so ago and might have failed to read the fine print it's a single year complimentary subscription which for some (like me) will have expired recently. The subscriptions people at AFR implied that the offer was now closed so it's unlikely Virgin's generousity (probably understandably) won't be repeated but it was nice while it lasted

I probably got 6-8 copies and then it stopped. Either that, or my neighbours were taxing it

Mine stopped a couple of weeks ago..
Interestingly no letter from the AFR offering a special to continue it....

Mine is due to stop at the end of July. I have suspended delivery for up to 6 weeks several times since it started. Always done through the AFR site, the girl who answers the emails has been very helpful and no problems with the delivery.

Yeah this was a great offer. rang up about 8 weeks ago when they sent me an email about the new format to ask whether I have a subscription as implied by the email. They said ,Yes. Then when I mentioned I've never received a paper, they chased it up and I got 6 weeks worth. Woohoo! Gone now.

Hope VA didn't pay.
