So when panic buying started, including toilet paper, the media didn’t sensationalise too much, and shifted to government propaganda that “there was no need for panic buying“. I wonder how many toilet rolls, tissues, etc. you would need to bring back from Singapore to cover the costs of a shopping trip there. Scoot have some pretty low fares!

My local Coles was out of normal milk this morning (they had goat milk....), and tomato sauce (the kind you use on sausages). No nappies or nappy wipes, no sanitary items, no pasta, barely any rice. Families in my estate are having to ask others for nappies/pads/tampons, its got that ridiculous.

Goat milk is all we drink in terms of milk. Excellent and healthy alternative we got onto around 18 years ago when our baby had an asthma attack. No issue with asthma after switching.

I haven't done a shop since everything went down the toilet. So to speak. I'll go into to our local smaller supermarket and see what is left that I might need, first thing tomorrow. But I don't actually know what I might need. Eggs, bread to freeze, cat food, I have all the soaps etc I need. Maybe some good quality soups that last a while if we do actually succumb to it. Yoghurts and make sure we have all medicines we need.

Goats milk - love the cheese but is the milk unusual tasting? Not that we drink much. Grandson has milk protein allergy so he is only given almond milk and BF mama has been dairy free for a few months now.

Is it worthwhile people here asking others to buy something if they can get it locally and someone here is desperate for it?

Woolworths has paused home delivery orders from tomorrow until further notice in Victoria and suspended pick up online orders nationally from this afternoon until (currently) COB Wednesday 18 March.
The Footscray CFC (delivery only store - only stock fillers and pickers, no customers) is listed as remaining open, and will only get orders where a customer is deemed to be "in need" (presumably people in isolation and elderly).

Current item limits are
Pasta, Flour, Tissues - 2 packs
Baby wipes, Antibacteral wipes, Serviettes, Toilet Paper, Paper Towel - 1 pack
Rice - 1 2+kg pack

I hate going in to apple stores. There are so many tiny little sections that perform so many different functions and they don't believe in signs. And it's packed with sweet young things.

They aren’t all that big on instructions for their software either. Functions may have been obvious to them, but are nothing but hidden for the rest of us.

There's another thing. Their software updates. Makes a lot of sense to them but suddenly for the user everything has changed because they think it is a better experience. Things disappear. Things added you will never use. Eventually - obsolescence. Maybe Covid will sort that out. Just to get on topic....
