Indeed, I get the impression Aussies are too busy emptying supermarket shelves to go on holiday!
cheers skip

Not at the supermarkets I frequent. And at Costco, when don't shoppers here have full trollies?

I think it is more that hand sanitiser has a run on.

"Woolworths and Coles will begin restricting the number of customers allowed in-store at one time, as the stores prepare for their annual Easter rush." Will there be a rush??? Can't really see one this Easter. 🤔

I love how there seems to be a 2 week lag between the UK and Australia ...

I would be such a lazy parent, I would be booking tutors for 3, 4 lessons per day to save us both the grief.

One coworker says his wife is running the lessons like Mrs Umbridge from Harry Potter, very regimented. Another said theyve given up and are basically "unschooling", whatever the heck that means because last time I saw a family that claimed off schooling, it was a UK Doco where the 9yr couldnt spell his own name
I was dreading it. But Qld seems to be getting it sorted. Two kids in two different public high schools. All ready to start next term
One even has the structure for each day. Their day will run to a timetable when they will log on with their class with their teacher. PEs theroy with task to do outside class.
Home ec seems to be theory but my daughter found the recipes on her programme

Obviously parental supervison is going to be needed but it is remote learning not home schooling which is a massive relief.

No need to source hand sanitizer ,🤪

There has been peripheral damage from the public buy up.
Stuff like Chlorhex 4 surgical wash that I get through a fair bit of , none available anywhere.
Even betadine Iodine wash is out at Chemist warehouse, what on earth is the average joe doing with it ?
Iodine stains like crazy… grumble grumble
And no Betadine sore throat gargle concentrate for weeks

Hmm might need to buy new pants then too ....

I haven't been out of the house except for my daily walk for nearly two weeks but have to head out tomorrow to get food. I wanted some jars from Kmart and I thought it was more economical to get something else rather than pay the delivery fee so I bought a pie maker - is that panic buying so will be looking for some advice on recipes to make!!

I always have 3 or 4 bottles in the house and got extra when this happened. We always use it when travelling and have been using it at home.

Used panic buying mince last night for tacos and today it was left over panic buy mince taco pies. Sent a couple to mum in law as well.
