Everything is nearby in MEL. it's not a big terminal, all the lounges are within 2 minutes of each other. An aside question. Is the F lounge in Melbourne nearby the (presumably J and F combined) Emirates lounge?
Decisions decisions. Pavlova or ? Are they still using passion fruit on the pavlova in Mel? And last time we were there in Sept champagne wasn't immediately offered. I asked for Rose and she said they had none. Full stop. So I asked if they had 'plain' champagne then. Off she went. End of the bottle so only half a glass. She did not return to fill it. We had to ask again for a full glass. First world problem but unexpected. Might just try EK.Everything is nearby in MEL. it's not a big terminal, all the lounges are within 2 minutes of each other.

Champagne is not listed on any of the First Lounge menus these days. You have to ask what champagnes are available 'today' and carefully listen to the options listed in the answerDecisions decisions. Well, she was not forthcoming at all with options when she said blush wasn't available. I'll go EK this time I think. Flying EK so seems logical. And not a long transit anyway. As for the First wines listed in general there are recent posts deriding them as not really being "First Class" wines. Unless you have 'special' status such as CL, P1, Uber Emerald, a First PAX or have media influence you are unlikely to be offered any 'off list' options.
There are fewer wine options in the EK lounge, but you can be confident any would generally be better than those on the Qantas First list.
I generally use both at MEL when I can, eat in First (but not too much) before heading down the escalators, turning left then along and around to the escalators heading up both the EK & "House" Lounges.Well, she was not forthcoming at all with options when she said blush wasn't available. Alas, not as practical in SYD, unless you’re departing from over near the EK lounge but TBH, I think I’ve only decamped to EK once or twice.I generally use both at MEL when I can, eat in First (but not too much) before heading down the escalators, turning left then along and around to the escalators heading up both the EK & "House" Lounges.

The corn fritters that I usually have - have gone down in taste and quality …
The butter did not taste like butter …
Loved the yogurt with mango and QF raw honey - a stand out IMO
Nice! Salt & Pepper Squid and the Burger - my go to!SYD last week.
Everything plonked out at once after about 30 minutes, lounge wasn't too busy.
