Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Now, I'd like to know if there is anyway for pax NOT flying F to call the lounge and get a spa appointment booked beforehand?
As a Platinum One member I can usually secure one in Melbourne in advance, but after the F pax have been sorted (so I only ask on the afternoon before my visit or morning of).
Used to be able to do it in SYD but have been told it is now no longer possible.

Completely OT, but curious to know :
Now, I'd like to know if there is anyway for pax NOT flying F to call the lounge and get a spa appointment booked beforehand?

Also, on a side note, although I was told that there were 6 pax before me in the wait list, I noticed that a lady who request for an appointment (& was told that she is in 8th in the wait list, after me) got called in for the spa appointment, when I wasn't and had to leave because my flight was boarding :(

On point 1, there seems to be anecdotes that P1s or regular visitors may be able to but would not rely on this. Should be just F pax.

On point 2, the last part of that sentence may provide the explanation. They take down what flight you are on and if no time for spa treatment you're likely struck off the waitlist.

Re : The spa - I was in the SYD F lounge the other day and I was flying Y. I asked at the door if there is any spa appointments available and I was told that there is at least 6 people before me in the waitlist. So that makes me 7th on the wait list

I think I'm right in my understanding that pax flying F get a call a day or two before their travel date to get their spa appointment booked. However, this is not the case when the pax is NOT flying F

Pax to spa booths ratio is higher in SYD. When not flying F ex-SYD I've been offered a spa roughly 33 to 50% of the time I reckon, although Mrs340 usually takes it.

Yes F pax receive a call the day prior to flying. My last three entrances to MEL were after QF93 departed so even with QF9 pushing back at 1650 there are no spa slots booked for F at that time as QF9 tops out at J.

I decided to give the Gua Bao another go ... was encouraged to have two.

Different with less "cracklyness" than some in the past but this edition very nice with fresh components

I tried the 100 yr Duck ...

Probably the last time. Overcooked, and rather small.

The jus was nice.

I skip the encouragement and just order two off the bat :p

Have you ever eaten these with dignity? I get the sauce all over my hands, face and napkin. Or maybe that's just how a Collingwood supporter eats them?

MEL still has one by the entrance to the spa/showers (it's pretty useless though). Did there used to be a larger one?
MEL still has two - they show the same info but the one towards the Bar area is larger:

Toward the showers:

The salt is not changed as any bacteria or germs will be Killed by the salt. I have inquired about this before.

I can’t believe it’s mid March and the Autumn menu still isn’t out! Although, now looks like I won’t be going overseas anytime soon!

So good to finally see a new post on here though the absence of proper champers is very disappointing (albeit to be expected).

If anyone has the daytime menu as well, I'd be super grateful if they could upload it too!
