This Hickinbotham The Nest Cabernet Franc 2018 or the regal Cab Sauv? It’s a toss-up on first glance as both wines are so impressive. The straight Cabernet ultimate rises above, but this is still very very good. Some wine industry websites track their visitors egregiously
Some wine industry websites track their visitors in an unethical mannerwinegourd.blogspot.com
I've always felt that if something pops up related to past searches or indeed unasked for that is tantamount to someone installing a virus on your PC. Some websites get around that by not letting you in unless you accept their cookies. Even Cellardoor etc now have this new cookie management popup that makes you accept their terms to browse their website. Getting so you can't do anything without something monitoring your session. If I wasn't such a lover of wine I'd give up this internet thing.......thats pretty scary running a few wine sites through blacklight. Mine was the 2012, came in the box from the winery (stored with bottles on their side). The cork was fine, the wine was fine .Out of interest, what year was the vintage of your Merlot? My first order back in December 2020 had a mix of 2012 and 2014 loose bottles that came from WA. My recent order was all 2012 and came in flat winery boxes locally in Sydney
I ended up grabbing three of the Black Labels, there were none left Sunday morning. I asked the guy behind the counter about the Leeuwins, he said they had 14 but they were gone Friday morning as soon as it was reduced: "I got 6, the boss got 8...."they are at first choice in Vic too, sold out but have Black Label for $20
did first choice have the leeuwin for $20 as well? were $70 at our local fcI ended up grabbing three of the Black Labels, there were none left Sunday morning. I would report the employee and store to LL head office to send a message... happens too often that the staff take all the good deals and us deal chasers miss out . Generally they can’t reserve wines for themselves, hide them or buy them until after their shift finishes. Dodgy behaviour.I ended up grabbing three of the Black Labels, there were none left Sunday morning. I’m guessing it wasn’t their shift in this case - quick phone call to a friend...I would report the employee and store to LL head office to send a message... happens too often that the staff take all the good deals and us deal chasers miss out . still on google, just no stock anywhere. Dan’s wouldn’t price match because of the 10km rule...did first choice have the leeuwin for $20 as well? were $70 at our local fc
Seriously ? I don’t see anything wrong with the staffs taking advantage of good deals.I would report the employee and store to LL head office to send a message... happens too often that the staff take all the good deals and us deal chasers miss out . Imagine a hypothetical situation where there are a finite number of sale items. This is advertised to the public, causing masses flock to the store. However, upon arrival, none are available, as the stores' employees have "taken advantage of it".Seriously ? I don’t see anything wrong with the staffs taking advantage of good deals.
I don’t work in a shop but I find it great that people who do can get some advantages from it. I don’t think that they have a great pay so what is wrong with that?
Reporting them? That is the dodgy behaviour for me
Happens all the time. Head office should crack down on it but it all comes down to the corporate culture.Imagine a hypothetical situation where there are a finite number of sale items.
