Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Does anyone have or know of any discount/promo codes for Winestar??
Looking to pick up a couple of 6 packs of some suggested and well recommended 2019 Bourgogne Reds
AFIK Winestar don't usually do the discount/promo code thing, or cashback etc.
Oddly enough, through a fortuitous online chat last week, I managed to persuade Bert to create a discount code on a particular wine for use by my Forum members. First time ever I think.

Had some technical issues earlier but here it is

Edit: And for everyone asking how I am putting these lists together (among the other data I present here) perhaps we can all pretend I work two part time jobs at Endeavour & Coles and leave it at that ;)
DLR, that's gold. Thank you!

Yeah that is what I thought as well. Was hoping someone might have had some inside goss or hookups.
Thanks Red

Just wondering if anyone has come across The Other Bordeaux before, and if so what have they thought? I’m always keen to try new wines (and I’m very slowly branching into some French wines right now), but I don’t have any real insight into value - apart from knowing it’s hard to find a good deal! So if anyone here has any knowledge as to whether this “cutting out the middle man” that they are promoting results in a genuine saving, or is more of a marketing spin, I’d love to hear!
  • what wines do you like?
  • which regions and/or varieties are you considering/exploring?
  • what's your budget?
  • are there any good independent wine stores that you can visit in person?
TOB's newsletters are here, but there are a number of other French wine importers around, some specialising in certain wines

besides above, there was a recent Loire Valley online tasting with chenin blanc and cabernet franc; this week Vintec have one on the southwest, featuring Cahors (malbec) and Jurancon (manseng), possibly with the help of Mosaique; previously,
For French reds, I have no idea where to start

if this is too off-topic, then perhaps consider creating a new thread, such as "wine recommendations - what should i buy?"

Most the wines are very reasonably, $20 onwards which is very cheap for French wine.

Weather the wine is good, everyone will have a different opinion & you can go by his judgement plus Google for Vivino, or other reviews if any.
life's too short to drink or waste money on inferior wine - i rely on professional reviews and specialised blogs, particular posters/forums, personal recommendations from those more knowledgeable, CellarTracker - Vivino is the last place that i'd check

I've found different local stores import different wines, aka Buzz Wines has some Pinots which no one else stocks.
you need to look harder at better stores - Buzz is the retail arm of importer/distributor Vintage & Vine :)

I'm expecting my first order to arrive very soon (you pre-order the wine at the time when they leave France and get them 3 months later).
look forward to your reviews of their wines :)

I know the prices in France and there is obviously a middle man importer price increase here (and a lot of tax...) but he sell stuffs that I can't find anywhere else in Australia at a better price.
so you know the prices of the wines in France, but how is TOB cheaper if they can't be found here?

Sydney, red crayon, looks like I've got 60% of what I've asked for.

Yeah and Roger's a busy man, hit my card this morning. Didn't quite get 12x Simpatico/Symphony but close..
I only ordered 6 of each- isn't that what he said in his rules? Nice to score a dozen of each.

As soon as I saw his email, I didn't care for the contents of the email so I have gone straight to the form where it says 12 of each. Then I read the email after I've submitted the form (you know it's a mad dash) and panicked over this. Got another form on stand by if Roger asks me to trim back my order.
