May be something there for bloggers - good luck - my budget Gone

This same sale has been going for several weeks. Nothing great in my view.

Anyone with any help or ideas on this one? Kaesler? Secret Old Vine Barossa Shiraz 2012 (6 Bottles)

Combined with free shipping and 20% off, it seems almost too good to be true...

Pretty sure this is McGuigan Farms Barossa Shiraz

Edit: Saltram No.1 has a higher RRP, and I can't see any review of the 2012 by Halliday. The 2011 Farms was available on VM for $21, so a similar price point.

Thanks. Suckered me in for 2 cases for $216, less the Pricepal 10% of-course. ;)
Certainly with the discount it's a great deal. Thanks !

edit - Friday. what I found last time with a winemarket west oz mixed red case was that later on in the day, the smarts at WM bumped up the price about twenty per cent to cover the initial cloud100-like discount. I was hesitant at first, did due diligence on the wines then realised at under a hundred for a case what a great deal. logged on a few hrs latr - price upto 149 a case. gentle discussion with a superior about mommas and poppas in jail led the agent to give me the case at the morning price, plus the twenty per cent off. I liked the service, but not the price hike. Hope it doesn't happen here.

Bird in Hand Sparkling is one of the better Australian moderately-priced fizz, and goes well with food.

Last time I asked for Pinot Noir suggestion under $30. Few members (MadMick10 and AnonymousCoward) suggested Paringa Estate Pinot Noir that my partner and I really enjoyed. Thank you.
This time, I have upped my budget to $100-150 Pinot Noir for my partner and I upcoming engagement dinner with our families. Can I get some suggestions please? I'm thinking to get $175 Bass Phillip Premium Pinot Noir but it's slightly above the budget.

My suggestion (not advice) is that you may not see a noticeable difference between $50-60 and $100 Pinot. Buy the $50 bottle and drink twice as much. ;)

Congratulations on your upcoming engagement Albert. :)

Once you are into that range you pick up some decent premier cru Burgundy. At under $100, give the 2013 Tolpuddle a go. Amazing wine.

I grabbed a few bottle of 2012 Stonier Reserve Pinot Noir last time i was in Mornington Peninsula. Amazing stuff and got plenty of acclaim. It is probably one of the best Pinot I have had in a while if not ever! Backed up with 96pts from Halliday. DM has it for $49.39 in any six but winedirect.com.au has it for $49 a bottle and can have the 30% off code added to it as well making it a touch over $35 a bottle. Catch is that you have order 12 bottles total, but you can get a few bottles and top it up with some other stuff as well.

Albert

Congratulations on getting engaged. If it was me I would buy champagne. When I got engaged I bought Veuve vintage and loved it, to be honest the emotion (mostly my now wifes) around the day swamped the wine anyway...... That was a number of years ago but if I was to get engaged today I would probably get pol roger blanc de blanc (not that you asked)

I recently had the 2011 Freycinet Pinot Noir and loved it. You can get this for about $60 odd. I had the Home Hill the other day and was nowhere near as impressed with it. The Freycinet had more complexity and layers of flavour that I did not get from the Home Hill. The Tolpuddle is getting some very good reviews.

Although I absolutely love Central Otago Pinot Noir (just can't afford it as often as I would like) so would consider the Craggy Range Calvert Pinot Noir. Have not tried it but gets great reviews and is well within your budget.
